chaitealady: Perfect height! Fall can bring sprinkles to the Middle West. Perfect height for rainy fall days. True to size. I purchased black to go with any dress. But would absolutely love a pop of color in my next pair. Having different heights of Hunter boots provides so many options for the weather. Highly recommend these — so versatile!!

Justine Cassata: These are great low rain boots. I was nervous they would be too clunky but they are actually not as chunky as they look in the photos. I am normally a 7/7.5 and went with an 8 so I could wear heavy socks and they fit perfectly

Natalie Floyd: These are really good looking and practical. They do in fact run small. I know this to be true because I was a true size 8 before getting pregnant my shoe went up a size and none of my size 8 shoes fit me anymore post-partum. I ordered these in a 9 to replace my older rain boots (not Hunters) that no longer fit. When I tried the 9 they were huge and I had to ironically replace with a size 8 that fit perfectly. Even with big socks my feet were falling out of the size 9 so especially if you are a half size, size down. Other than that I really like these! Straight out of the box they are comfy. Didn’t require any breaking in.

Alyse The AwesomeAlyse The Awesome: Great boots, TTS for a size 8, occasionally I size up a half size for boots if I’m going to wear socks underneath, but not for my Hunters. I have a pair of tall original Hunters but I wasn’t sure how warm Ireland would be in the early summer (hint: it is not, lol) so I bought my first short ones and these had a little heel/wedge to them, so it kinda elevated my look without looking like I overdressed for all of our adventures. I will say they were a little heavy, but that’s the nature of galoshes and I’d be nervous if they weren’t.
Unlike my Hunter originals, they didn’t cause me to blister on the back of my heel, which was a bit surprising, but I think it helped I wore them with boot cuffs most of the time to hide my raw hem jeans. They did a great job keeping my feet dry and some days were so rainy that our raincoats soak through!
The wide openings of the boots were perfect for tucking in my bootcut jeans without “poofing” them out and the matte purple is STUNNING! Felt like they went with everything!

Rene: I am a size 5 but decided to size up, the 6 is too big for me, I wouldn't recommend you size up.
