Hailey: These shorts are a nice quality denim and I didn't see any immediate issues with construction. But take note of the item description! There is no give in the fabric at all. For someone like me with a straight waist to hip ratio, that can create a fit issue.
The legs and butt of the shorts fit perfectly, but the waist was painfully tight and created a "muffin top" silhouette. If I were to size up, I think the waist would fit but the rest would look like a tent. I can see this garment working for other folks, but I'm going to have to put some work into stretching them to get a functional fit. (And even then, they probably won't be my eatin' shorts. :P)

Chase: waist way too small, very baggy on legs and butt, unwearable, very weird I've never had high waisted shorts fit me this way. I even ordered two sizes (I couldn't button a small, but the butt and legs were perfect; I could barely button a medium, but the butt and legs were way too baggy; I usually wear XS or S in shorts). Material was great and exactly what I was expecting, but there wasn't a size that would fit me....

Taylor D: I've tried Target, other Amazon sellers, ect., and have been extremely disappointed. First I ordered these in a size up b/c other reviews said so but the size up was way too big, however I was amazed by the quality so I ordered in my usual size (Small - I'm 5'6", 115lbs). I wouldn't recommend ordering a size up if you don't have a belly as the size up had a pouch-like effect and a too big of waist which looked bad with even a belt. True to size, great material, actual jean shorts. Good fit, kind of short but still conservative. Ordering a second pair right now.

katie scurti: Super cute shorts but I would size up. I usually wear a M in shorts and I had to get a L. The M fit but we’re a little too tight in the waist area then I prefer. Otherwise super comfortable and cute!
