In case you are wondering, shorts are great material: lightweight but not flimsy, and I like the above the knee length. Multiple roomy pockets that fasten securely. Quality stitching and metal embellishments. Something I discovered was that the ties had plastic security fasteners for protection (easier to cut off BEFORE you put them on, IMO). I’m 5’6”, 165# and have a 36” waist with a stocky body figure- thick trunk, flat butt, no hips. Normally, I wear a 10/12 but I ordered the size 14 due to everyone’s recommendations. Happy with the fit, as I don’t like snug or tight waist (I can fold an extra 1/2” of material in the waist, plus the fabric includes 3% spandex. I know that the description says it’s 100% cotton but the tag on the inside of my shorts says otherwise, and I can tell the difference in how stretchy the material is). However, I load up my pockets with tools and there is enough give that these could slip off my waist. Plan on using a belt if it becomes an issue. Might try getting another color in size 12 to see if I can...

Hoelo: My wife has a lot of trouble finding shorts she likes so when I found these and got her a test pair, she was happy.. "GET ONE OF EVERY COLOR!" :). So, I just about did.
Pros: They fit well, they're exactly the style they show (except the belt, see below) and they make her butt look great (that's a factor for her).
Cons: They may mess up your order - I got two light gray instead of 1 light, one regular (not worth dealing with a return) and the real annoyance.. the colorful belts shown are NOT ACCURATE. The blue and 'living coral' shorts did not come with the complementary-colored belts that are shown in the ad; instead, I just received two generic black belts. They're fine and all but had they shown the blue shorts with a black belt, I might not have gotten them as it's not the best look. I'm guessing the seller knows this.

J. Muench: I ordered a whole bunch of shorts--I don't know why women cannot get comfy cargo shorts and guys get all the good shorts and pockets! These cute FOURSTEEDS shorts were the big time winner for me!!!
First--pay attention to the different FOURSTEEDS X87 versus Z86 versus maybe another color that looks slightly different. I will say if you have a butt and some curves, the FOURSTEEDS fit great, like they understand girls have booty and not shaped like a 2x4. The Dickies and Carhartts? Big gap for me at butt-lowerback and if you have a butt, skip the Dickies and Carhartts unless you want to wear a belt and bunch that into your back and like having plumber-butt moments.

Allig8trAllig8tr: After reading other reviews, I ordered a size up and they fit perfectly (I’m normally a 12, ordered a 14). Also, I ordered “Blue,” which appears in the product picture to be a royal blue. I ordered this color specifically to match my work t-shirt logo. However, the color is actually TEAL. Many of the other reviews have commented on this, so I think the seller needs to update their color labels for more accuracy. Otherwise, I’m happy with the shorts. They are comfortable, seem to be pretty sturdy. They are not tight like other reviews have stated. That could just be body type though. The color thing is definitely an issue though!!!
