This is fine by me. The person who returned it definitely used it though. There were a few spots I needed to clean off but no big. Every zipper and pocket was in working order. However, they left their handicap parking permit in one of the pockets. I’m guessing the hassle/cost of replacing that is more than the cost of the backpack. Karma

Lisa: I love this stylish backpack. I’ve been using it everyday of the week. I have to carry laptop, iPad, and some curriculum items. It holds Stanley, Owala, and Hydroflax. My backpack is too heavy to carry comfortably on one shoulder. I have to actually put it down n my back. The zippers work well too. It doesn’t get caught in seems and glides well. No signs of wear. It doesn’t stand up as I anticipated….but it’s not bad. I’m also carrying a laptop and iPad. The opening stays home. I’ve never had difficulties putting things inside.

M. E. Wendt: I've been loving my new bag! I am a professor, and I wanted something that looks rather professional but isn't a briefcase and could be a backpack. This is perfect. It holds my laptop, my notebook, my lunch, my beverages, my phone--all the things I need. Yet it's got this nice sort of slippery outside that slides on easily over whatever I'm wearing (canvas sometimes gets stuck on a coat or sweater). It also has handles so I can carry it like a bag. And the purple one (which is what I got) isn't a bright Barney purple but more like a plum. It's great so far!

WeasleyIsOurKing!: I bought this for an upcoming vacation to Europe. My wife has a similar personal item to stow under the seat, and after our last trip, I envied her for having such a great bag. I thought it would be perfect for me too, so I ordered the 17 inch upgraded version. Love all the 20+ pockets, and the huge main pocket makes it so easy to access your stuff you need on the plane. I carry my meds in the lower front pocket, my tablet in the upper front pocket, and an accordion folder with our reservations/flight/event tickets in the laptop pocket. We also have our passport and document pouch in the laptop pocket. The main compartment easily fits my bulky headphones, travel pillow, snacks, umbrella, and liquids bag, with plenty of room for wet wipes and other smaller items. It's truly amazing how much you can fit into such a small bag.

The only problems I've had are how stiff it is when it arrives, very hard to flatten out and put things into. The zippers are gold, a bit gaudy for me. And the shoulder straps are obviously not meant for men with wide shoulders, I can get it on my back, but my wife has to help me to get it back off. Luckily it has a luggage strap so it will sit on top of...

Nile Garrett: This backpack is exactly what I was looking for to replace my Herschel backpack. It has lots of room inside it where I've been able to carry 8 large cans of soup, 1 large jar of pickles, and 2 litres of milk all at once inside it without any issue.

The laptop sleeve is NOT as big as you might think though. If your laptop screen is 15inches but the body of your laptop is significantly larger it will not fit into the protective sleeve. The sleeve is definitely designed for a thin macbook air style laptop at 15 inches. Anything bigger than the macbook air would not fit into the sleeve pocket. It at least comes with a bonus protective pocket that's large enough for a nice sized kindle with a sturdy case on it.

All the organizing pockets are fantastic and I feel a lot happier with my passport and wallet in the zipper pocket behind my shoulder instead of anywhere else in the backpack where it could get pulled from.

The straps are nice and padded so it's very comfortable even on my bonier shoulders. The handles uptop make it easier to move it around and the large open mouth for the bag itself is perfect for making the bag easy to work with and pack or...

Amazon Customer: This is the perfect backpack to fly with. The luggage strap is so handy. All of the different pouches and sleeves. Keep me organized so I know exactly where everything is.
