Wirsh Coffee and Herb Grinder - Grind Fresh Herbs and Coffee Beans with Stainless Steel Blades

Richard: I purchased the Wirsh Coffee Grinder-Electric Coffee Grinder with Stainless Steel Blades (Model: D150B) because the reviews were good and I had previously purchased this brand with great results. The return window closed two days ago and unfortunately the machine is going "bonkers". It's making grinding sound but not from grinding beans. Something in the motor is not right and I smell burning plastic. I'm fearful of using it again... worrying that it will cause an electrical fire. Also, the interior cap is somewhat cumbersome.

Kri Kri: I got this on a lucky lightning deal, so I got great value for my money. Works smoothly and quickly to grind beans.
If using this with a French press, pay attention to the handy clear window to keep from grinding your coffee too fine as it grinds quickly!

Mario the Gator: I bought this grinder because it was inexpensive and would allow me to experiment with grinding my own coffee. It is simple to use. It turns out that I have not found grinding my own coffee to make a big difference compared to buying some pre-ground coffee and I did not spend a lot of money to figure that out. If you do like to grind your own coffee, this little grinder will do the trick just fine. Either way it is worth a try.

🐝: I mainly intended to use this only for grinding herbs. My mortars & pestles have worked great but I am now getting arthritic and need the help of a grinder like this! BUT, I ended up with a bag of old/expired coffee beans, I hate throwing away foods (especially expensive stuff), so I decided to try making exfoliating coffee body scrub. I needed to get a very finely grained grind because of my super dry, delicate skin. This little grinder did the job - after a bit of “grind/shake/grind/(repeat)” I ended up with a fine-grit powder which works GREAT, even for my face! The grinder is NOT unreasonably noisy and cleanup is a snap! Make sure the “pollen catcher” lid is fully in place if you’re going for a fine powder, like I made from the coffee beans, and let the powder settle a bit before popping it open. I hope that this little machine lasts for a very long time because I love it and I’ll be heartbroken if it doesn’t…
