BrianBrian: I had to move a freezer full of frozen breast milk from South FL to NE GA. During this long trip, it was very important that I was able to monitor the temperature of the inside of the freezer. This sensor did exactly what I needed it to for the full trip! The freezer has now been back inside for a couple of weeks and I decided to just keep the sensor in it so I would know if the freezer malfunctioned. I will probably purchase more to put in my refrigerator!

Steve gehle: We had a bad mold/mildew problem in our brand new home. The builder never put a vapor barrier in our crawl space. We had to have a company come out and install a complete incapsulating system with a dehumidifier. The only problem was that we had no way of knowing if this was working, so we purchased this meter and saw our humidity drop from 90% to the high 40’s where we currently run at. This meter has been running on the same battery for over a year and I get alerts on temp and humidity. Love it and it saves me from opening up the crawl space and checking on the system - great peace of mind.

A. Person: Amazing product, as detailed elsewhere.

I want to add that this is unique in nearly all the products I buy in that when I contact service, one of the founders writes me back with clear guidance and generous offers to make things right. It's as if my close friends started the company. But I'm just some schmoe with an amazon account and 8 of these sensors (so far) over the last 5 years or so.

There are imitators I see undercutting them on price by a little bit. Don't do it, go with the original, you'll be happier. They put so much thought into this product, it's nearly perfect.

EricEric: I bought two SensorPush monitors to put in my new fridge/freezer. My bought new 4 yr old fridge died and I didn't notice it for several days. Watery ice cubes were the 1st clue :-( That was a good fridge but it was poorly installed and I had apt AC problems for a while that also wore down the unit's compressors.

Thats why I bought these two devices, so I can monitor my new fridge, track it's temps up/downs and see if I can see a correlation btw my apt ambient temp and it's internal temps.

These sensors are easy to configure and set up and place! The app steps you through various config settings to allow your app to 1st find them sensors and then capture their every minute data updates via BlueTooth.

Your phone needs to be near the devices for local BlueTooth access.. and these two sensors are INSIDE a metal refrigerator box .

If you are a business owner or you don't WFH, you should buy their BlueTooth GW product and leave that GW in the vicinity of the devices. The GW will save all data in the Cloud and you can monitor this from the app.

Since I am retired (homebody) and live in a studio apt, my phone is always close to the fridge, except when I...

R. C. Jackson: This sensor was very easy to set up, except for setting the proper Android permissions for the app. That is not SensorPush's fault, it is Google's fault for allowing different Android phones to have wildly different Settings UIs and for letting them change all the time. The SensorPush part of the setup was super easy.

To test one sensor, I put it in the small grow tent where I am growing lithops, directly alongside a Thermoworks Signals probe I use for monitoring temperature and the exhaust fan's temperature sensor. I had assumed the SensorPush sensor would be problematic because everyone says it is so sensitive to direct sunlight, so I figured it would be at least a little sensitive to a powerful grow light. But it performs almost exactly as advertised, only +/-1.4F different from the Signals readings. It does read both higher and lower than the Signals device, so I can't use the SensorPush calibration setting to adjust it (as I could if it were, say, consistently reading too high), but I don't care because it is performing to specs and good enough for my simple needs.

I put a second sensor in a fridge that I have in our garage. I didn't bother to compare this one...

T. Watkins: This sensor seemed to be working fine for the first 3 months but unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be working anymore, it wasn’t particularly cheap so I’d expect it to last a little bit longer

Jack R Adamson: I bought this sensor nearly 2 years ago for indoor use, because I wanted to see the trends in temperature and humidity in a specific room. It has served me well ever since - no battery change required yet. It's very simple to set up and use, and I'll certainly be buying more if/when my data logging needs expand.

I didn't have to perform any calibration, as occasional tests against high accuracy equipment showed me it was quite good at its job without it.

One downside is that the phone won't connect to the sensor automatically unless you open the app (presumably to save battery life), so I do have a gap over the summer when I forgot about it for a few months - the backlog of something more than 20 days helped bridge that, but wasn't quite enough. Still, that's my own fault for forgetting, not the product's! They made the WiFi Gateway partly to avoid data loss, but I've decided my need for that is not great enough at this point.

Pros:
- easy to set up
- easy to use
- accurate
- long life
- good app interface, allows for viewing of all the data (I know a cheaper similar product only shows up to the last 100 days, for example, which is just......

Micheal P.: Not being able to control anything like fans or dehumidifiers, without being a coder, is getting tiring.

Sure, I am using the API to link to Kasa and TPLink plugs, but it's just getting old. I have to code an entire new system for each tent I want to monitor. If you simply want to log the data for a particular room, then this is what you want.
If you want to be able to control anything like an exhaust fan or dehumidifier, then this IS NOT FOR YOU UNLESS YOU CAN CODE AND UNDERSTAND HOW TO ACCESS AND SCRAPE DATA FROM AN API.

Now that I am coming up on time to replace batteries for this thing, it's REALLY becoming a headache. They use CR2477 batteries. Not a very common size. About the size of 2 or 3 quarters stacked on one another. Not available anywhere I've looked in town. It's hard to find quality sellers and quality brands on Amazon. They are either ridiculous prices, ridiculous shipping costs ($12 for a pack, $41.99 to ship it to me....stupid expensive), or crappy reviews with batteries that last about a week if the person is lucky.

These things have turned into nightmares for me.

Last night, one sensor just decided to stop sending. Luckily my...

Sarah: (April 2019, 2 YEAR update! - Both sensors are still going strong, with a battery voltage of around 2.8 volts (I thought the battery lasted only 1 year? double that, and no sign of low battery). One's in the work office, and one's in my bedroom, over 600,000 readings for each. The app works fine with this much data on the Android system, and the CSV files export fine into Excel. NO crashes, NO needing to remove/insert the battery, not once, The Android app's never crashed. These ARE expensive, but I got what I paid for, and they do that very very well.)

The device is simple to get started with - you download the App for Android, or iPhone, run it, and drop the thermometer block on your screen for a few seconds.

That's it.

Whenever you open the program, it reads all the temperatures and humidities that were collected since the last sync up.

There's a new "Sync station" that picks up all your devices temperatures, and sends them to the gadgets website - where you can see them.
It uses your existing WiFi network to send the data to the website, and the Low Energy Bluetooth connection between the WiFi and gadget.

Info (pros):
The battery lasts...
