Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: This product works if used as directed however the package I received was damaged and obviously tampered with and opened/used. What I paid for was a package of 2 5X7 mesh pieces. What I received was one 5X7 and one piece that had been obviously cut into a much smaller piece (pictured).
When I attempted to return the product, I was led in circles and frustration until I eventually gave up and used what I had (pictured).

Ash: Bought this foreclosure property that had several holes in the window mesh. Used these to plug the holes. All we need is a pair of scissors and a hair dryer. Cut the patch to size (slightly bigger than the hole), lightly hold the patch over the hole and run the hair dryer on medium heat until the patch attaches.
Time will tell how long this holds but so far so good.
The patches are not invisible but the main thing is that it makes the mesh functional again and the window can be opened to let the breeze in and keep the bugs out.

Donald Morton: The media could not be loaded.  Easy to apply and seems to cover the hole well. I wish it blended in better though. Best solution I’ve found though. Easier than replacing the entire screen.

Peter: Patch works but it is noticeable Cut the patch to the correct size then use a hairdryer to make the glue adhere to the existing screen. Easily done, adheres well but you do notice it.

pdotpdot: Like some of the negative reviews on this product, the paper didn’t need to be peeled away from the screen sheet, but it still seems to work. I can see some of the adhesive residue on the screen itself, but it doesn’t have an obvious sticky side. If the adhesive doesn’t hold, I’ll definitely come back and drop my score, but so far so good. The directions seem off, though. It has a diagram that shows you blowing the hot air from the opposite side of the patch, but when I do that, the hair dryer pushes the patch off the screen so it actually works better from the other side while you use the paper to push the loose screen wires toward the patch. You should definitely use the low/medium speed setting because going higher will warp your patch slightly. As expected, it doesn’t work well at the end of the screen, but it still can work if you’re careful. I don’t know why Amazon rotated my images, but at least you can still see my before an after photos.

Soulwinds: Super easy to use. Just cut out the shape you want, hold on the screen and hit it with the hot air from your blowdryer. Can't get much easier then that. My only compliant is the colour and size isn't quite the same as my screen, but it's as close as I could find online. Upside is I can open the window again without bugs and fluff getting in my house!
Not sure a 5x7 patch is worth $11.40 though so I cut a star for the price.
