Enjoy the perfect temperature for all your favorite bottles with this multi-functional refrigerator.Kenneth: It's a big hassel for me. I bought it back in 2016, immediately there was an issue with the control board. I drove all the way to the US to ship it to its Whynter then picked it up after. It's 2 trips. Then Amazon came back and said why didn't I just returned but it was a lot of work done already. Anyway, just 3 years after warranty, the control board went again. First it was just shutting off on its own intermittently, but then more frequent, and now it's dead. It's embarrasing. Well, since it's COVID nobody came to my place but now they first thing people will ask, why didn't you turn on your wine celler?

Houston TX: After researching a number of wine refrigerators for my lakehouse, I bought this model last summer. It was easy to install in the space previously occupied by a ice maker and looks and works great. Some reviewers commented on the noise - but it is so quiet I hardly know it is running. The temperature range is good for reds or whites and the shelves are removable so you can fit larger bottles in the unit.
As for Whynter customer service - I rate it 5 stars. Within a week of installing the refrigerator, I had a problem with the door lock. The metal tab that is designed to extend out of the bottom of the door to lock the refrigerator didn't work properly and kept dropping down and blocking the door from opening/closing. I contacted customer service, explained my problem and sent a few pictures and within a few days they shipped me a new door to replace the faulty one.
The wine refrigerator has been a nice addition - glad I made the purchase.

Joanne L.: So far so good, but have only had it 3 weeks. It does cycle on and off A LOT but the tech people say that is normal. A bit on the noisy side but certainly cools the white wine nicely. Nice looking unit too.
*****Update Oct/2015 - unit has quit cooling. Customer service is very nice at Whynter - but tech people don't respond with even a quote. From everything I know, this unit cannot be repaired anywhere close to me so if I want it repaired it will require a cost prohibitive shipping cost. Very expensive 1 year wine cooler. For these types of things I will now only buy from Costco - where service is so good - you just take it back and get a new one. Done!

James Cole: I read most of the reviews and i dismiss most of the negative reviews because some people are never satisfied. In that group some haven't read the control panel locks itself after inactivity and the user has to unlock the panel to change the temperature. As far as the noise that this cooler makes the compressor noise is minimal. However the fan that circulates the cool air inside the refrigerator does turn on and off frequently and may cause some to complain as it is noticeable but not in a loud way but more of it turning on and off frequently. I'm not sure if all coolers do this so I can't compare their operation.Something that I didn't realize myself. Mine is installed off my kitchen in my butlers pantry so its operation isn't as noticeable as it my be to others that have it installed in their kitchens. The build of this product in my opinion is good.Only complaint is the interior light is white light and is located on the ceiling of the cooler and it doesn't illuminate the interior evenly. I haven't had any of the shelf trim fall off but like I read maybe more glue would be needed. Now as far as temperature control I have placed two digital thermometers on the upper shelf and...

Biff Malibu: We have had this wine refrigerator for about two months now. It was an early Christmas surprise because of a sale going on, which prompted me to pull the trigger and order it, even though I was a bit leery from some of the various reviews. I was half expecting it to make enough noise where it sounded like a small Cessna airplane, but thankfully it doesn't.
It arrived undamaged and packaged well (UPS really dropped the ball on delivering this in the stated time, however), and the handle went on the door easy enough.
I let the unit stand for several hours to warm up as it had been on the truck all day and it was below zero here. I read through the instruction on how to change the temp and unlocking the keypad to do it (easy enough).
When I finally plugged it in, it quickly got to my temperature I selected (48 degrees).
As other reviews have stated, the chrome metal ends on the shelves will be about ready to fall off. The next day, I purchased some gel super glue, pulled them all off, removed the old, crappy glue (scrapes right off), and reattached them.
So after about 2 months, here is what I have noticed: The compressor itself rarely runs unless...

tomd: It was an OK wine fridge for the 7 years it lasted before the compressor failed. Maybe that's pretty good, based on other reviews. The main problems were that the racks are designed for narrow bottles, not the fatter ones that many pinots come in. And it is a bit noisy. Was a bit noisy.
