Meadowlark: I enjoyed reading this series and found the books hard to put down. They move right along with plenty of romance, a little mystery and a colorful cast of characters whose roles continue in each book. This fifth book, featuring Tabitha and Hunter, is probably my favorite, but the first (Chase and Jessie) and the third (Charlie and Nell) are very good. All of them flow right along, so I never felt my attention fading. Usually I lose interest after reading a couple of books in a series such as this, but not so with the Prairie Hearts novels. I am waiting until December to read book 7, since it has a Christmas theme.

As a ranch woman I didn't find many errors concerning cows or horses as in some of this genre.

Kindle Customer: Hunter is an ex wagon train boss who has taken possession of half of a saloon in payment of a debt owed to him. Tabitha owns the book store next to the saloon. They are as different as chalk and cheese, but there is a growing attraction between them which they both fight.
I didn't enjoy this story as much as the previous books in the series as I felt there was too little real interaction between the two main characters. Instead there were lots of inner thoughts which became repetetive. I think involving too many secondary characters detracts from the story, but is used only for padding.

Julie Morales: I'm approaching the end of this series and don't like it!
In this book, we get to know Tabitha, who has been mentioned in previous books, but we never really saw her much until now. This is her story.
We also see more struggles with Jake and his mother. Jake is still working on Chase Logan's ranch after coming farther west with them, and he's been unofficially adopted into their family, but he still doesn't know much about his real father. His mother has always refused to tell him, even, apparently, saying at one point that she didn't know. But Jake has never had a good relationship with his mother, so he's not surprised that she's lied to him...again. What he is surprised about is the news she brings with her.
Tabitha comes west to start her own business. Her parents are wealthy and, when she's not interested in marrying who they think she should, but she'd rather use her dowry to open her own bookstore, her parents put her money in trust, so she's on her own. Against all odds, she makes it in the town where Frank, the banker and her uncle, lives. She'd like to marry some day, but if that means giving up her independence, she'd rather keep her own business, even if being...

Artysescape: Such a sweet book, so full and rich and well written. I do love the thought of Tabithas little book store and could see it in my mind. I found this story was a little different to Caroline Fyffes others but it was a good read and very enjoyable.

Manxcat: Love the series and the characters that appear in them. This book was no exception. Full of laughter, sad times and lovely happy ending. Any sweet romance fan should give this book a go it lovely and very sweet but full witty and funny characters. Can be read as a lone story but I highly recommend the series. Enjoy.
