Ogygia: Perfect fit to replace the ones in my apartment. Changed them out in less than a minute. No funky taste or smell. Great value compared to disposable plastic water bottles.

Thought it was leaking for a second before I realized it was just the sound of the filters filling back up when I clicked it into place. Immediately noticed a significant improvement in water flow from filtered faucet.

Don't forget to let it run for a bit! Leave it open for 5-10 mins, close for a couple minutes, and run another 5 mins. Same as soaking a new brita filter for the pitcher. Cloudiness/sputtering from charcoal and air bubbles will go away.

MARK: Most people will complain initially that it doesn’t flow ! You need to give it time for water to flow and settle the filtration .
Once enough water flows past they work and flow as they are supposed to and for the duration of time .
For the record , I have been using these for years !
Bottle water is expensive and these filters more than make up in savings and refilling plastic bottles !

Ross Weimer: I bought 3 sets of these and the membranes to replace the filters on my north star RO system.

I can't sugar coat anything here, the filters flow way too slow. With these installed on my system, they didn't even fill the 3 gallon tank in 12 hours.

Then I took the tubing off and put it in the drain and wanted to see what kind of flow I was getting out of the system. It was once again, painfully slow.

I put my old ecopure filters on that I ran for a year, purchased from home depot. I had easily twice the flow output from my year old filters.

I can't comment on the fishy taste people were reviewing, I never ran them long enough to even try the water.

Not going to sell the farm to buy expensive home depot filters, not going to let my clothes go out of style waiting for these to make water.

Bought a new system I know will work.

Steve Roberts: The instructions for replacing the EZ-Change filter says, "Insert and twist."

A. If the hangs on the wall, "Insert," means raise the filter up so it lines up with the fitting, then push up gentley so the o-rings insert into the receiver. When the filter stops stop pushing. Now TWIST the filter 1/4 turn.

B. If the unit is the horizontal rack type, slide the new filter in gently until it stops. Stop pushing when it just touches. Now TWIST the filter 1/4 turn.

PROBLEM: If you keep pushing the filter inward after it stops, you bypass the built-in shut-off valve and water will spray everywhere until you quit pushing, and it will be a lot of water under pressure.

SOLUTION: Insert the new filter into the fitting gently until it first stops. Then twist clockwise 1/4 turn. If you have any experience with changing water filters, and you use this tip, you will be very impressed with the engineering. Maybe 5 drops of water are lost and there is zero gunk to deal with and no clean-up.
