Grace: Works great! Just what I needed, so easy to adjust!

J Swanson: Exactly what we needed for the set up and location of our dryer. A little tricky to make sure it goes together when sliding the dryer into place, for our circumstances. Highly recommended.

Reviewer: Had a tight and short access for drier venting and this product worked great. Metal is a bit thin and the bent corners and end tabs were a bit loose and not clean bends that would have allowed air and dust to escape. To remedy that I used aluminum tape and sealed up all the ends and joints and also to keep the length I needed to reach drier outlet vent and exhaust inlet.

Jan BateJan Bate: The first item I received was crushed as if someone stepped on it although the box was in perfect shape. I ordered another right away and it arrived the next day in perfect condition.
This is not the easiest thing to install, but it will get your dryer about 4 inches closer to the wall than a regular dryer vent hose and connectors. We could get it even closer by an inch and a half if we trimmed the wall vent collar, but we are leaving it like this for now.
This is more challenging to install than regular vent hose. Getting the measurement from the middle of each vent is important. Leave a little room for error before trimming the connector. I fitted it, cut it to size, removed and taped all seams before the final install. As there is no room to manoeuvre when in place, tightening the last vent clamp is a challenge. I have used the dryer 4 times and so far, so good.

Hannah Braun: Watched the video and said that is exactly what I want. Problem is the installation video is for a different product and if I had looked closer at the pictures I would have seen it was not what I wanted. So half my fault. I wasn't intending to do a full hose replacement, but I did have the space to try so there was still hope. But the poor design, if you are going to replace the hose you need two over the outside attachments. This device has one outside and one inside. So still need some hose which means it saves "Zero" space. Also the diverters keep falling out which makes me fairly confident it would have eventually just plugged itself which is self defeating too. Not sure what the purpose of this device is but would suggest looking harder at 4396011RP and knowing what it is you want to accomplish. I was able to do it with ovalling the hose. Wish I had tried the first would have saved $30. That reminds me, if you touch it you won't return it. Dents and bends extremely easily.

E: File this under one of those products that you never knew you needed it until you knew you needed it! I looked at it about a year ago, shortly after moving into my current house, but read some bad reviews. So instead, I opted for the traditional, semi-rigid duct. And of course, it immediately got squashed between my clothes dryer and the wall.
So here's my setup, in case it helps anyone else. The dryer vent duct in my wall is about 10" above the baseboard. It is in a place that allows exactly for the washer to be placed next to it, in a corner. The dryer vent duct is, obviously, at the base of the dryer. Hence, I had about 10" between the two. Due to the layout of my laundry area, the dryer needs to be pushed as close to the wall as possible. With a semi-rigid duct, this meant it was squished to just an inch or so thick. This presents a huge fire hazard, because lint will likely clog up that narrow opening. After replacing that duct several times, always with the same result, I decided to try this "periscope."
Straight out of the box, I could tell this thing was exactly what I needed. Simply slide the ends closer to each other. Despite what others say on here, you...

Full ThrottleFull Throttle: Well designed, on spec. Made for installation in tight spaces. Makes the installation possible but not any easier. I'm a pretty handy guy but have no idea how one would tighted both the clamps. Bought a special 90 degree fitting from Lowes from which I removed the seal. Attached the duct to the dryer and covered the exhaust end of the vent with a adhesive sealer. Lined it up and blindly pushed the dryer into place. Now leaks and passed the flow test on my new Samsung dryer. Alls well that ends well.

KGJ Prime: Works perfectly. Dont let installers tell you it doesn’t work. Bought dryer from Lowe’s and installers swore it wouldn’t work. First, take it out of the package. Move it up and down and in and out. My vent was on the floor and I needed to get it to the dryer which was on a platform 11” up and three inches over. First, don’t put it at a right angle to the floor. Make sure it can swivel on its own access before installers arrive. I had to cut the bottom off with metal shears but I think you are supposed to - or because my vent was next to the floor. Then make sure it can swivel to the vent area. I got an extra 4”connector just in case I needed to get a bit farther away. So buy one just in case and return it if you don’t need it.
Get aluminum tape for ducts. NOT duck tape. Use that to seal the vents between the dryer and the slim vent. You shouldn’t need a hose. They are cheap and flimsy and lint gets caught.
When it was installed I got the dryer within 6or less inches of the wall and on a platform I built. I am not mechanical and Havent done this becore. I had to play around with it to figure out how it works. It does go to zero inches. It doesn’t...
