Not a major issue just a quality control issue. Getting the remote transmitter inside the top was MOST challenging. The bottom portion of light cage was most difficult to figure out and I had six years of high school too 😃The looks are EXCELLENT! Highly recommend.

Robin: I own 3 of these fans now and will get a 4th for my master bedroom soon. Many are complaining about installation. Installing a ceiling fan takes a minute. Allow time and go slow. The remote box is easy. It goes in the fan bracket, not the ceiling box. Slides right in. Note: The bulge on one end of the receiver faces down. Mount the Bracket to the ceiling 1st. The wires are long enough to connect them with the remote box hanging out the side, place the ball in the bracket (connected to the downpipe) then slide it right in. Understanding this makes it a breeze. Love them all

John A. Klokis: I have read a lot of these reviews on this fan and was concerned if i should buy it. but being in maintenance for a few years I thought what could be so tough about installing it. The fan is beautiful in our kitchen. the finish of the fan is rustic. the light kit is unique. here is what you have to know. everyone complained about not enough room for the unit that you have to install for the remote control, not enough room to install it in the fan bracket. there is not enough room unless you get longer junction box screws. say 1 1/2 to 1 5/8. they have to fit into the junction box. with the longer screws, you can lower the bracket that the fan sits in enough to make the wiring easier so you do not pinch any wires when you screw the bracket up to the junction box.
its a nice installation and nice fit. the wires you can guide gently into the junction box as you take the longer screws all the way up. the remote i only use from 5 to 10 feet away. you can not expect this to work perfectly all the time. sometimes i have to press the buttons twice. but it works. if you use the remote in a longer distance, it may be an issue. but I always use different angles and different directions to...

Rcr: Had to return the first one because I couldn’t get a crucial screw out. On the second one, I had the same issue with a different screw, which I was able to fix on my own. All the screws come pre-installed instead separate packaging. Don’t know how they install them, but it makes it very difficult to remove some without damaging the screw heads. Looks good once I got it up though!

Amazon Customer: I bought this fan/light for my off grid cabin. At first I wrote a bad review but I found out what was wrong, I had put the remote control receiver in the fan/light backwards. I had no problems with the install and the fan is not loud at all, now that we got it working right we love it it looks like strained pine boards….

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: Great ceiling light reflection and shadows. Fan is quiet, offers strong to mild breezes and the remote works well to control desired levels. The dimmable light is perfect. Not excessively hard to install, although I hired a handyman. Light fixture cage has a tad tricky clamps, but once figured out, they add a nice accent of style. I was concerned this would overwhelm the room at 48" diameter, however it's a beautiful centerpiece. The light bulbs that come with the fixture are stylish-retro.The room now can serve as a sitting room, family room and (with all set aside) a lovely dining room. I am so pleased I purchased.

Vienn M. LongmireVienn M. Longmire: The media could not be loaded.  This fan is gorgeous, the lights dim and brighten, the fan has three speeds plus a summer and winter mode, and its super quiet (see my video). The instructions sort of sucked, and I’m not sure yet on the remote, the first time I used it, it seemed sorta unresponsive, and you had to get up close to get it to work. Second time worked fine so I guess time will tell on that.
