CTSVMongoCTSVMongo: Great fan with modern minimalist appeal. We usually purchase a separate wall control as the one that comes with it is bulky and very warehouse looking. Great fan at a great price.

rb: the good news- inexpensive, looks very minimal and modern, at home in a contemporary decor. deceptively passes for models and brands that can get exceedingly more expensive, easy to install, quiet, great design, makes a fair amount of wind
the bad news- I'm not sure it really makes the room all that more cooler, but at least psychologically it allows us to think it might. included switch has an industrial style design that is none of the above, which if I recall correctly also sticks out from the wall, machinery aesthetic can be nice, but this one was just ugly so I tossed it for a contemporary slider, dimmer style switch. This adds to the price but in total it still remains well below similar looking units. if you go this route be sure to use a switch that isn't just a simple rheostat for light. It has to be specifically labeled as a fan switch. Home depot does have one or two among many normal dimmers. Of course Amazon also has some. Not made to be entirely rigid, the post does sway slightly, but not disturbing, it doesn't bother me, barely noticeable on lower speeds.
Looks good enough that two unrelated friends went and bought the same after seeing it in our house.

Joel Aycock: Great fan, great price. Liked it so much I bought a second one for my bedroom.
Very pretty (to my eye)- says nickel plated steel, looks like brushed stainless. I can't use the glue board blades in most (more expensive!) ceiling fans- in my hot humid climate they absorb moisture, change weight, warp, expand, deteriorate...
Pretty quiet- a slight electrical hum that doesn't bother me, YMMV. Of course there is the whoosh of the air moving, but that's what fans do.. I was a little disappointed that the slowest speed wasn't "lazy slow" (like old time fans in the movies)- but it does move a lot of air at all speeds. Five speeds to choose from, at high speed the breeze is tremendous and the air noise is very noticable.
Very easy install, everything is included in the box. I had a very slight wobble on my first fan- swapped two blades and got good balance with no wobble. No balance problem at all with my second fan.
The wall mounted controller *is* clunky looking- maybe 4" x 3" x 2" deep, very '60s retro. Doesn't bother me, but many will find it annoying. To be fair, there wasn't much Westinghouse could do about the controller size- this is an induction motor,...

R. Kumar: I installed this fan in an addition that will be a home office. It looks incredible, was super cheap, and came very quickly. I'm very very happy with it. There are two huge issues:
1 - The down rod is way too long for standard ceilings, I have this in a 12' ceiling and even then it was a bit too long. There is no shorter rod in the packaging, so be prepared to cut the downrod and drill in the leveling ball. It sounds complicated, I'm not that handy, and did it in 5 mins with a hacksaw and a power drill. The longer down rod has other implications. 1 - this fan takes the word "blades" literally. So, to make sure you don't lose a finger shorten the down rod. 2 - This is an industrial fan. It's not meant for homes. But it looks so great in a home that I couldn't not recommend it. In big warehouses, the longer down rod is needed, not in your house.
2 - The fan controller is silly. I seriously think it came from the 1950's. Just buy a lutron 4-speed fan controller for $11 here on Amazon and you'll be fine. It works great, sits in a standard switch housing, and is fully functional. As an aside, the old school fan controller is great to give your kids to play with (don't...

Excelente producto, buena relacion calidad precio.
