Dave in AZ: This is a great chainsaw. It was sharp and I cut a 12" tree in under 30 seconds. I don't know how so many reviews say it doesn't cut or got hot. I am thinking they all put the chain on backwards. Plus the chain tension shouldn't be too tight. It's all in the instructions.
This doesn't take that long to assemble if you have used a chainsaw before. It has a nice tension adjustment wheel (you have to loosen the chain cover first, then adjust, then retighten the chain cover.)
The 12A motor is powerful. Many similar size saws are only 10.5A. The plastic is well formed and WEN is a real brand that makes pretty good tools, paint sprayers etc.

Jay B. Nylund: Had a the upper 20' of a 14" diameter tree snap off about 10' about the ground during a recent wind. Not wanting a gas engine that would get used very infrequently, and not wanting to invest a lot in this project, I bought this chainsaw.
BLUF: it works great. Very easy to setup. It runs smoothly and quietly. And it cuts very well.
I had the tree completely cut up in 2hrs and spent 2hrs more hauling it off. Goes like a hot knife through butter on limbs 2-3" in diameter. I even made several cuts of about 14" which is likely more than a 16" bar should do, but it got through quickly and did not overheat. A buddy with a 16" gas chainsaw was doing no better than me on those cuts.
Pros: Cuts cleanly and quickly. Quiet (for a chainsaw). Light and maneuverable. No starting hassles.
Cons: using an electrical cord is a bit of a hassle, as it gets tangled up in dropped branches as you drag it around, and you want to keep it clear of your cuts for sure. Also the chain does not have a brake, so it spins for 10-20seconds after you complete the cut. Don't be impatient with a chainsaw is generally a pretty good rule to follow though.
It could die tomorrow and...

Steve McManus: This is a handy little chain saw, mostly likely adequate for home users for normal jobs like trimming branches, cutting up deadfall, etc. It has a nice high turn rate ands cuts right through everything I've used it on.

A caution - with your first use, check the chain tension before cutting anything. Run it with no load at all (that is, while not cutting anything), then check again. Mine required immediate retightening.

Also, put a bit of silicon spray onto the chain tensioner wheel and shaft. If yours is like mine, it might jam and stick. I had to take the cover off when this happened. Those parts are plastic (never a plus in my mind, but for the price, you have to expect it). I suggest NOT using standard WD-40 for that reason. WD-40 will attack some plastics. Silicon will not.

Finally, the instructions for removing the cover are not real clear. Look for the little unlock symbol on the unlocking wheel, and keep turning the wheel until the cover comes off easily. It can be frustrating until you figure this out.

Those were minor annoyances but I would have been happy to have that advice before I assembled mine. And once I did those...

Cora Corey: This chainsaw is relatively inexpensive, and performs as such. It is not very powerful, but so far has performed adequately. It's relatively lightweight, and easy to use. The chain has come off a couple of times in the first hour that I've been using it. However, the fact that no tools are required to open, install, close, and adjust the chain meant that I was back up and running within a couple of minutes. Knowing this, it's easy to prevent. Just check the tension on your chain every 10 to 15 minutes of use. I would have only given it three stars, however when I took the price point into consideration, it's pretty good for the price. If you only need to use a chainsaw three or four times a year, this is an excellent purchase.

Eric EstreraEric Estrera: The media could not be loaded.  I underestimate this little bad boy due its brand and electric but I trust our fellow customer for their personal reviews and ratings. I was pissed off with Stihl MS250 because it is so hard to run. I tried many times unflooding it but I couldn’t do it to run. So I looked for an alternative electric chainsaw to use to cut my pine tree fell in my backyard after 2 days of contineous rain and strong wind. It happens last January. I live in the East Coast so our temperature is colder in winter time. So today is March 11, Saturday I finally decided to cut the tree although it’s a bit windy and colder it didn’t discourage me to do it. So I decided to give a try with Wen chainsaw. I was
amazed how this guy has plenty of power, dependable and light weight. it cuts the truck almost 24
inches in diameter. It comes with a chain but I bought a...
