These work perfectly with the Makita track saw system. More than enough strength to hold the track in place, no need to spend more on better / stronger clamps. The extra strength is pointless for track saw use. Order a pair, save money, and make some lovely cuts.

Not cheap plastic. Heavy duty some kind of metal. Grip trigger is heavy duty plastic, Wen keeps surprising me with its quality. I can recommend these clamps.

These clamps make quick work of any project using a track for a track saw. I used these clamps with the Wen track and Wen saw so they worked well together. The biggest detractor I experienced with these clamps was that the weld on one of them was too big, preventing the metal bracket from sliding in the track guide slot properly. So instead of sending it back I put it in a vise and grinded down the weld so it would fit.
Other than that, they worked perfectly and clamped the track to the 4x8 MDF board effectively.
I would buy again but be wary of the workmanship!

I almost didn't buy these clamps because of some bad reviews but I really don't get why people are complaining. I'm sure there are some duds as with everything but a quick exchange would fix that.
I am very happy with the clamps and yes they are made cheaply but thats what I'd expect when I buy cheap clamps, duh. They are very functional and do the job well. They're not really intended to "clamp" anyway, these saw rails need little more that snug pressure to secure them from moving during a cut. I have no problem recommending these track saw hold down clamps, use them as intended and they work great.
