Stan: This grill has better cooking grates and heatup than some larger grills. The closed lid convection cooking helps also.
Just remember that the gas control valve is backwards of a water control valve. High heat is clockwise and low heat is counter clockwise. The ignition setting is already set on high!

doityourselfer: This is my second Weber grill like this. Very happy with first one.
This is first with folding extensions. First of all grill was assembled at factory with extensions reversed, directions for lighting and use are on wrong side facing away from user. Secondly with extensions folded in and top closed
grill has no safety switch so it couldn't be lit with top closed. I could imagine
my wife or child not thinking about extensions inside and lighting grill with top closed. What a disaster as plastic extensions catch fire inside and burn uncontrollably. I love the grill but I can see a dangerous situation.
Needs to have large caution sign or safety switch that stops ignition with top closed. Easy to do with battery ignition. I may install one myself as a safety measure.
9/25/23 Update, only used this grill a few times this season and regulator has gone bad. Works for few minutes and slowly goes out. Tried everything to get working, ordered replacement regulator, too late to return. Great grill when working properly.

Shanna Kehler: Great style and quality like our other Weber products that we love. Easy start ignition, very large cooking surface and handy side table fold outs are some of the great features. Bbq is quite heavy. We will be using with our RV.

Long walker: This is my 3rd weber BBQ over 10+ years. . I still own all of them in great working order: Genesis 11E -410 , Q120 and now the Q2200. The Q2200 is like the others, even heat, easy to clean , quality components . The thing I appreciate most are the porcelain enamel cast iron grates. Registering your BBQ with Weber makes replacement parts an easy ordering process for future needs. I highly recommend Weber if you're in the market for a reasonably priced well built product.

Matthew McKenna: Not sure what's going on with the negative reviews about the "assembly" that is required for this. If you own a Phillips screwdriver and understand which end of it you hold and which end goes into the screw, the "assembly" is easy. However, if you are the type that will more than likely poke your eye out with the screwdriver, then maybe cooking with open flame isn't a wise idea after all.

The "assembly" consists of:
1. attaching the handle to the front of the lid using 2 Phillips head stainless steel screws and 2 spacers. You don't need a wrench, the nuts are molded into the handle. Remember, righty-tighty, lefty-loosy. Do not poke screwdriver into your eyes. Have someone standby with a phone to call 911 just in case you accidentally do.
2. attach the thermometer to the lid. It's keyed and the attachment uses a wing nut. If operating a wing nut is beyond your capabilities, seek professional help.
3. Insert two pins in the hinge points between the lid and lower section. Putting the round peg in the round hole is about as easy as it gets. Again, if you have trouble here, don't use matches or propane.
4. Insert "hairpins" in the holes on the end of the pins to keep...
