WRG: This griddle is great. It keeps the mess off of my cooktop in the house. Very easy to put together, simple to use.
The piezzo igniter takes some getting used to. You have to turn on the knob to let a little gas out (2-3 seconds) before you spark it, or it won't ignite. Other than that, pretty straight forward.
Buy some griddle seasoning and make sure to season the grill 4-5 times to keep items from sticking.
To season, get griddle as hot as you can. Put a tablespoon of seasoning on and using a pair of tongs and a throwaway towel, evenly spread all around the grill. Leave alone til it stops smoking, then repeat 4 more times. Do not be tempted to put too much seasoning on at once. You can't rush it.

K: I have the 36" model. And it is all sorts of amazing! But, I am a solo act and it is just WAY too big of a griddle for one person. So, selling that one off and I bought the 28" model.

I JUST finished assembling it. So no review on cooking or heating elements yet. I will season and test it this coming weekend.

I was however, anxious to post a frustrated review that the knobs on the 28" Adventure model just feel CHEAP! They barely feel like they will stay on and the hang a little...like they are not on the post the right way.

Really disappointed in feel of quality between the two models even before firing up the 28.

I will try to update after a few test drives. But first impression is about a six. And two points are just because I love the other model.

So this thing has some provin itself to do.

John G.: I just received the grill this weekend, I seasoned the griddle, and cooked smash burgers for the first time, it's so nice and easy to use. I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of it. The unit was very quick and easy to put together.

I gave it a three star for portability, only because, it is not completely self contained when it's folded up, you need to take off the lower shelf completely. I suppose you could leave it home when you take it with you, if you don't have the room for it, but I'm not sure if it will make the grill less stable without it.

The only reason I knocked a star off the overall rating, was that it seemed a little deceiving, but if you buy it from the "Blackstone Store", it actually ships or gets delivered from Walmart. I'm not saying this is definitely an issue, maybe it's not. But in my experience, I usually try to avoid buying name brand products from Walmart because they tend to be more cheaply made than the units distributed through other stores. Again, I'm not saying this will definitely be an issue, but Walmart does have that reputation for a reason...
