Mark: A great burger press. Other burger presses that I tried, the burger was too small in diameter, and the burgers would shrink too much. With this press, the diameter of the burger is perfect, and the press puts a dimple in the patty, to stop the shrinkage. Highly recommended.

Brian C: This is a very simple tool, and it works.

Couple of tips:
1. If you find the patties sticking in the top, spray the top with cooking release spray (like Pam). I've had one batch of beef that stuck, the others didn't. No idea why. They were all labeled with the same fat content.

2. Rock the lid back and forth and bunch to evenly spread out the patty. Do this by grabbing it like you're a Canadian eating a burger (ie, with your fingers on the bottom and your thumbs on the top) and alternating which side you are squeezing while rotating it around a bit. Don't use the handle on the top for this. Then, apply even pressure at the end via the handle to get a uniform thickness burger.

Sandra: Plastik ist ja eher verrufen, in diesem Fall handelt es sich aber eher um einen Vorteil, da so das Hackfleisch nicht in der Presse kleben bleibt. Zumindest wenn mein Mann das übernimmt. Ich pack zur Sicherheit immer Frischhaltefolie dazwischen, dann ist es absolut kein Problem.

Wir sind happy mit der Presse:
• Sie tut was sie tun soll, Hackfleisch in Patty Form pressen 😜
• Den Schwarzen Boden kann man beidseitig verwenden, für dickere und dünnere Patties (dünne Seite verwenden wir allerdings gar nicht)
• Patty bleibt (meistens) nicht in der Presse kleben
• Spülmaschinenenfest - den Griff oben kann man abnehmen, so sammelt sich da kein Wasser

ACHTUNG DER PREIS 😱😳
Als ich den aktuellen Preis von fast 27€ 😱 gesehen habe, musste ich kurz überlegen ob ich wirklich so viel Geld in die Hand genommen habe. Also direkt mal gecheckt - NEIN habe ich nicht! Ich habe genau diese Presse im Dezember 2021 für 7,98€ gekauft und das ist ein fairer Preis. Niemals würde ich dafür den aktuellen Preis zahlen, auch nicht für den Namen Weber. Dafür gibt es zu viele gute, preisgünstigere Alternativen.

CliffCliff: Sometimes the simplest things is all you need to have a good time, this quality piece of plastic has steered me clear of frozen burger patties. The taste of making it all from fresh meat and veggies is unbeatable, I had done this in the past but it he burgers would always fall apart by pressing them prior to cooking helps hold the shape much better. Just make sure you get the dimple in the middle. What I like to do is as I press them slap the cover down some wax paper and cut it out (similar to frozen patties) and stack them and put them back in the fridge for a bit. When your working in the seasoning and vegetables the meat will warm up with the heat from your hands if you throw them on the grill they may fall apart or loose their shape, let them cool down and then grill them how you want, I’ve done both grill grate and cast iron. Comes out great either way.

Tech Trainwreck: It's a burger press. There's not much to explain, but here goes. I weigh out my individual meat portions, use Norpro square wax paper on bottom and top, and press, done. You now have a raw burger patty. The wax paper helps release the burger from the press, and it keeps the burgers from sticking to each other, if like me, you stack them on top of each other. Even if I don't freeze the burgers for later, I usually keep them in the freezer while I get the grill ready. I prefer to make 6oz (1/3 lb) burgers, so, I use the 1/4 lb side of the press plate. The burgers come out at approximately 4.5 inches in diameter. I would like it if the diameter was a little larger.

As other reviewers have mentioned, on the inside of the cover is a small dome for creating a dimple in the center of the patty. I think that if you press the burgers compact enough, and use lean enough meat, the dimple is kind of overrated, but it's there if you are a dimple fan. As far as burger size shrinkage goes, I think a larger diameter press would address any potential size loss issues.
