Waykar 70-Pint Dehumidifier: Perfect for Home Humidity Control

FleetFleet: I have a Waykar YDZ-80 pint Home Dehumidifier. It is used in our basement, which is below ground. That basement has a bathroom with shower, and exercise room, crawl space access, and a sump pump drain. The area is under 2000 square feet. There is a musty aroma and we use the area for activity and storage.
I have been very pleased with this unit. It makes very little noise - more like a hum. It is also impressively effective in doing the job. The humidity was in excess of 70%. It was setup in the evening and when checked on the following morning, the tank was full and it had driven the humidity to the low 60's. It is sleek in appearance, it is quiet while doing its work, and it does its work very well. This unit has protective functions that prevent it from freezing over-Auto Defrost. It also has and Self-drying feature. I highly recommend this Waykar dehumidifier.

MeliCapMeliCap: The media could not be loaded.  Works great in our 250 year old basement! It’s approx a 1,000 sq ft space and the YDZ-80 was able to reduce the humidity level from 75% down to below 60% in less than 24 hours. It has options for running continuously or setting a desired humidity level for auto shut off. This is a great feature for saving energy and only using when you need it. It’s surprisingly quiet for how much air it moves compared to other dehumidifiers I’ve used in the past. It also has a nice big air filter that is easy to remove and clean. One of my favorite features is the drain plug which gives you the option to hook up the hose they provide or use the tank for catching water. It has a little tether so you’ll never lose the plug if you want to switch methods! We’re lucky enough to have a drain in our basement and it’s so satisfying to watch the water flowing through the clear tube into the drain! Lastly, they have great and very responsive customer service should you have any issues.

Chris: This dehumidifier has completely changed my life around. It has been extremely easy to use and has become such a simple part of our routine that it's difficult to live life without it. With a lot of humidity always in our house, it's a power sucker to have the AC constantly turned down to keep us from sweating, and cost us more than we would like, so I decided for one summer to buy this dehumidifier and give it a shot. Within just a few hours I could tell such a massive different in the air quality that we were able to turn our AC OFF with no issue whatsoever. Our power bill dropped sharply and we even sleep loads better thanks to it helping with the moisture in the air. My partner has a hard time sleeping in very moist climates as it causes him to get sick, so he was extremely happy to get a good nights rest for the first time in his life lol. It's a little noisy on the fast setting but on slow you barely notice it and works just as effectively. It sounds and almost feels like a normal fan from the air coming out of the sides. It's also very easy to push around, even on carpeted floors. You never have to pick it up.

Unfortunately after a year and a half our lovely new...

Jean-Paul Kronenberg: I"ve had several humidifiers but this one is one of the best. Its working well on 1,500 sq ft of basemnet area and it is keeping it dry . It is quiet, quiet efficient and well designed.

Nathalie Houle: Après un été d'utilisation il ne fonctionnait plus. Nous nous en servons pour le sous-sol mais l'hiver pas besoin on chauffe au bois. J'ai rebranché l'appareille se printemps pour enlever l'humidité, après deux jour nous nous somme rendu compte qu'il ne faisait que du vent. Ma garantie est fini depuis avril, alors je trouve cela très dispendieux pour seulement que 4-5 mois d'utilisation... Il a même l'air d'un neuf... le filtre n'est même pas sale.
J'ai contacter Waykar sur leur site via le chat. En 24 heures il m'ont envoyé un premier e-mail pour me poser quelque question et j'ai même envoyé des photos.
Le lendemain je recevais un autre e-mail de leur part pour m'offrir des solutions.
Vraiment très satisfaite du services.

Athena TsaltasAthena Tsaltas: Although it came with a broken wheel (I purchased a used Amazon warehouse one to save a few), it works perfectly and the Waycar customer service was happy to provide me with a replacement easily. They replied quickly and their website was easy to navigate and make an inquiry. *In the photo I added googly eyes because I thought it would look cute*
The product it’s self really works, I had it placed next to hanging laundry in a cold temperature room, and it was able to remove the moisture from the clothes within a few hours! That’s something I never expected such a slick and small humidifier to do. I really hope you guys get it too so you can appreciate the quality and sleek look of this product. I will be purchasing again and recommending to everyone.

Sophie beaulne: The media could not be loaded.  Très facile d’utilisation, fonctionne bien. Niveau de bruit très acceptable. Sur le mode « slow » moins efficace mais moins bruyant. Parfait pour la nuit. Mode « fast » plus efficace mais plus bruyant. Parfait pour le jour.
Se déplace super facilement. Il est très beau. Petit bémol, le réservoir d’eau n’est pas super grand et il est un peu têtu à sortir et replacer. Malgré ça je ne regrette pas mon achat.

Eddy Benson: This unit is small and compact and ultra quiet. I have it draining into a drain so no really certain how much water is coming out but do know that the humidity in my home is down significantly since I began using this unit and it feels much more comfortable with the warm temperatures we have been having and using the AC full tilt.

My home is a 2200 SF bungalow on the main floor and again in the basement which is open to the main floor. I have this unit located in the basement.

Nice unit and very happy with it after one months usage.
