L. Bennett: Quality item, nice looking and strong. Make sure you measure where you want the collar to fit on your dog. We did not measure the right place on our fur baby's neck, and as a result, we had to get another one. Definitely ordered the right size from this same site, as it is very worth the money.

Lawrence Page: My dog has worn this collar for about a year now. (Update: three years, now) It is well made and sturdy: both the leather and metal plate. (Update: still sturdy after three years of constant and heavy use).

Before that, he had a leather collar with his name and our phone number embossed in the leather. That method did not work: the letters rubbed smooth after a short while and became unreadable unless I scratched them back in. After my dog got out and a neighbor found him but couldn’t read the lettering, I replaced it with this one.

Laying the metal plate on the collar is much better than have a dangling tag or engraining the ID in the leather, itself. Tags cause noise, they are less comfortable, and they are more difficult to read.

The weight of the buckle naturally shifts the lightweight brass metal identification plate to the top of his neck, which makes it really easy for someone to read it.

The metal plate is lightweight and sturdy. The name and number has not and will not fade or scratch away. The metal plate conforms to the shape of their neck and does not bind at all. It also has a nice aged patina after a year.
