We have new iComfort queen mattress, and our own queen size metal frame. With the bed frame adjusted to the mattress size, the headboard did not align perfectly with the frame (either because the iComfort was not exactly queen size, or the headboard was not the exact dimensions for queen size). The headboard came with two metal adjustment plates for this scenario. We aligned one side no problem, then used one of the plates to adjust the other side. After about 60 minutes of figuring things out we were good to go. The plate protrudes and inch or two but is hidden by the nightstand. It's a great headboard, with a nice rustic look....don't be put off by the wood not being solid,,,,it looks and feels solid.

This bed is gorgeous! It feels very sturdy and heavy. It was very simple to put together, it took me maybe 45 minutes not including opening the box and sorting the parts out. I would reccomend this bed for looks, value and sturdiness!

Despite being well packaged, one of the legs was bent. This made it impossible to slide the bottom part of the leg into the upper part which is attached to the headboard. I took some pictures and went online to order a replacement part. Before ordering the replacement piece I tried, successfully, to bend the leg back to its original shape. Due to the quality packaging, I think this was a quality control issue.
That was my only issue with the frame. It is sturdy, looks great, and I haven't noticed the squeaking that some other reviews mentioned.
