0/10. Purchased cable so I could visit my family in a different province while still completing my work expectations. I used this cable for one day, and now it will not work at all. Very disappointed in my purchase.: Easy to assemble, smooth casting. Perfect for beginners & small fish!

HOLLY: I really love it. This was my first fishing rod and it’s amazing. Had no issues with it and it’s pretty! Only fish I catch are pretty small so I haven’t caught anything too big yet but definitely my favourite rod I own.

The Many Adventures of GiGi and Pops!: First off, keep in mind what you spent on this combo and set your expectations accordingly.
Now, the FIRST thing you HAVE to do is replace the line that's currently on the reel. It is spooled on improperly and will twist up during use causing some "bird nests" if you don't. Go with whatever type of line you feel comfortable with. I put on KastKing 10 lb line, pink in color. It looks really good and the wife LOVES the complete color coordination of the rod, reel and line.
We fish on Lake Norman, NC for bass, catfish and whatever else might be biting. The combo casts well, the rod is durable and the reel can be set for left or right handed reeling. The wife's a lefty, so that's convenient and was easy to do.
We've been using the combo almost weekly, trolling on Lake Norman and it's held up well. The largest fish the wife's caught was an 8 pound catfish. The combo performed admirably. The drag is smooth and easy to set. Overall, highly recommended!!!

Julie Ormann: I bought this because the pink is super cute but within 5 mins of the first use I was beyond frustrated! After casting, the reel wouldn’t engage unless I really slammed the handle to start reeling. This in turn caused HUGE line rats nests and I actually had to cut the line because it was too much to unravel. I thought maybe I just needed to cast/reel and the line would straighten itself out but no luck, I kept getting tangled and having line issues with every cast. As much as I like the rod(because it’s pink) the reel is totally useless, I’m SO disappointed. Now I have to try to find a new reel that actually works smoothly and spend MORE money. Ugh.

Jeanette Smith: I like that its pink and the first 2 weeks of fishing with it ive caught 2 or 3 fish within the few hours I was fishing it was my lucky pole for awhile, then the other day as I went to cast with only a 2 lb weight on it the tip busted right off and I wish it wasn't past the return date honestly I would like to exchange it for a new one I really do like the pole but its a little flimsy and longer than my other poles but my other poles are Walmart poles and don't last long at all or snap easily

Amazon Customer: Love this rod so far. Caught 6 Pike 🎣 in a couple of hours with this, no problems reeling them in. Seems pretty sturdy to me. Came with lots of line on the reel, but you may want to take some off in order to work the reel smoothly or the line sometimes won’t wrap properly. My niece loves to fish too, so I’m sure she’d love to graduate from her Barbie rod to one of these.
