mathias ringle: Great rod, as advertised. Came in good condition. Works as expected. That said, there's what at first I worried was a crack, but discovered was in fact just a long curly hair trapped in the finish near the handle. Better to find it here than in my salad? Shouldn't affect the functionality, not worried about it. Great rod, works perfectly for jigging the 3/4-4 oz range, nice and stiff but still sensitive.

7609paulf: The 1st rod that was shipped got destroyed by UPS was thrown away but the 2nd rod shipped was perfect. This is a great rod for the money, hopefully you won't have to deal with very bad packing issues when you order one of these nice rods. I really do recommend buying this rod. Amazon customer service was truly awesome helping me we this issue.

BillBill: I purchased and returned a few different rods and finally settled on the ugly stik bigwater. I got a med 7’ and a med/heavy 9’ and they fit my style of fishing best. Good match to my penn battle reels. They appear to be well made and I really like the double footed stainless guides. Grabbed this little striper with the 7’ pole my first time testing it out. Hopefully they last a long time.
