chryzgo: I am about to start my third season with this rod.. and I can't wait. After a 30 year fishing hiatus, naturally I had to buy all new tackle.. so I did my research and decided that I needed a baitcaster (they have come a very long way in ease of use in 30 years) and this is the rod I paired with the reel I bought. The performance is awesome! I get nice casts with this rod and the action is sensitive enough to feel small panfish and tough for the big largemouth hogs! I plan on buying another this season so I can have 2 dedicated rods for Bass or Walleye, both fish are fighters and this rod will handle it just fine!
