Vremi 1500 Sq. Ft. Energy Star Dehumidifier - Powerful and Efficient Moisture Removal

Dave: Big fan of this company. I have an ice maker that's been running continuously for four years. It was a no brainier to buy their dehumidifier. So far it's working fine in a 2000 sq ft basement.

J: I bought this item more than 3 years ago and it has been a solid investment; this product works very well, and I really have not had any negative issues with it. I'm initially from Colorado (a very dry area) so that's what I am used to, so after having moved to Arkansas in 2020, this dehumidifier brings my apartment environment back into alignment with my expectations (or very close to it; also its adjustable so you don't have to keep it as dry as I do). Also, I've noticed, that even if it's too cold inside (and of course if too hot, but for different reasons ); that using the dehumidifie, when intolerably cold, will likely help as the humidity itself, in my experience, seems to add to how cold it feels (ie just cold vs "bone cold"). I would definitely purchase this product again, if I ever needed to.

Donny P: Good product. However power cord is only 6' max. Manual states do not use extension cord. Called CS different days and times. Always no one available at this time.....click. Emailed asking if option to use specific gauge and max. length cord.
Couple of days now and still waiting for a reply.

A. Richardson: Purchased this unit (the model for 1500 SF) in 2019 and it is still going after almost constant use over the last four years. We have a decent sized basement in our home that is completely underground. Being that we are in the mid-Atlantic region, this means that the humidity level in our basement is naturally around 80%. This means that the basement can feel quite damp and sticky and also get pretty smelly, especially in the hot and humid summer months.

I purchased this unit after seeing a lot of good reviews about it on various consumer sites. This thing WORKS. Within 45 minutes of running it, our basement humidity level (which I measure with a separate device) went from around 80% down to 50%. If we run this unit continuously, the basement humidity will easily stay right around 50% and sometimes lower.

A couple of caveats about this unit:

1. During the summer we hook up the unit to a hose and run the hose to a drain. We do this because if we use the bucket, it has to be emptied twice a day. The hose method works quite well, but only if we raise the de-humidifier unit a bit (we place it on a small stand).

2. During the rest of the year we just empty...

Alex Beyer: I moved from IL to MS, and bought my first house in my life in MS, a tiny fixer upper, nothing major. But noticed that one year the interior got to 85% humidity, YIKES, so I bought this on a whim, since I couldn't find a good dehumidifier from Lowes (the nearest hardware store by me) that commanded a large sum. This was about $300 less than the Lowes equivalent, meaning of course I pounced on it.

Pros:
-Works like a charm and works fast, I have the 1500 unit in my living room, and the 4500 in my kitchen since those are the only two rooms that don't have a second floor over them, or even an attic.
-The continual mode connector is a standard garden hose connector, so picked up a short flex hose and then ran it through my window, used a pool noodle cut in half and to the width of the window with a slight notch cut out to feed the hose through to seal off the window (works amazing and is a simple fix to an otherwise annoying problem).
-It seems to drop 10%/hr until it shuts off at 50% for my needs, but given how poorly sealed this house is, it usually levels out at around 54% and is constantly running. So, I don't know how Energy efficient it is. LUCKILY I rarely need...
