GaryK: These mount on a wall easily with one small screw and all you need to do is locate them where the sun shines a bit during the day. They seem to be sensitive to pick up a strong breeze or leaves flying by which I actually prefer. I want these to be more active and unpredictable rather than letting intruders get that close. You may want to consider where you put these so they don't light up your bedroom at night when trying to sleep. They are quite bright. But, I give these two thumbs ups.

Y&.: I did, as others have written, have an issue during the first couple of days with them not detecting motion. On day 3 they started working fine - I'm guessing I didn't have enough of a charge on them - they worked right out of the box, then stopped, then started again. Working fine for weeks after that, though. No issues with rain. Bright enough to light up an area, but not bright enough to burn your retinas out. Well, unless you really stare into them, I suppose. Don't stare into the sun.

Jeanine: UPDATE. Have these about 11 months now. Bought 3 sets, so 6 total lights. Attached them to backyard white vinyl fence. Live in Florida. After 11 months- 2 of the 6 are no longer working properly. The motion sensor bubble is yellowed on all 6 from the weather. The 4 still working are still bright.
Moved to 4 stars because I thought I could get more than a year out of them.
I bought one set of these, and came back for another 2 sets. Used heavy duty outdoor double stick tape and put them on the inside of my vinyl fence. Works great!! Lights up the back yard so you can actually see what is on the floor. Turns on quickly when there is movement detected. Note - it will not catch the movement of a German Shepard running at lightening speed chasing a rabbit. Just thought you should know that. Otherwise - no complaints what so ever thus far!
