Ambrosia Mercer: I got these cuz I can’t have the overhead lights on for too long without triggering a migraine. The lowest setting is more than bright enough to read by, and can be independently lit with pale yellow or blued light. They are weird looking, but I use them all the time.

B. E. Sharrow: The Vont necklight is only a minor item in the Vont product line of lights but it seems to work very well and be constructed with care. It compares favorably with the Glocusent light of similar but not identical design and so far has functioned impeccably. The light came partially charged and I plugged it into my cell phone's 2 Amp USB "brick" using the included cord. Full charge was achieved within 3 hours and this was a good sign because Li+ batteries usually indicate their capacity by their rate of charge. With a consistent charge source, greater charge time (within limits of course) usually indicates greater capacity and vice versa.

I have been reading with my Vont neck light for several hours every night over the past 4 weeks and performance has been consistent and more than adequate using the low, warm setting. Because of the form factor, I am guessing that the chemistry is LiFePo4. If this is the case, LFP batteries work best if they are given a "break-in" period of a dozen or so partial discharges followed by full "topping up." Knowing how inexpensive and ubiquitous single-cell LFP, BMS's are, I feel that there is one onboard this Vont neck light.

Gadget Master: I love reading. Reading helps me relax at night. Plus, once I get toward the end of a book, I can't stop. I have to finish the book. So, I'm up all night.

This light is perfect. It is very well constructed. Just slip it on your shoulders and position the left and right arms of the unit. Easily to aim the light exactly where you need it. It seems rugged (have not had it long enough to tell for sure), and comfortable.

I've already found so many uses for this versatile light. I've used it while crawling under my desk, found things in the garage, helped light up the insides of my PC when changing components. I've even used while dusting (you can see everything needing to be cleaned - yucky!). A great aid when getting spring time mud off of the dogs.

You can turn the left / right / both sides of the light on independently. Each side has a button for low/med/high/off. While the light is on, the top of the unit has a button for white temperature of warm / cool / natural. I actually find that I am using all three settings (for night / working / relaxing).

The light is even with no flickering. Positioned correctly you don't see any shadows.
