Logan Munro: Yuri and Tara have good sense of humor, but they remind you what it really takes to be a professional. If you wonder what it takes to be a VA, this is the best place to start your journey.

Eduardo A. Zanotti: Este livro é fantástico. A organização dele bem interessante o que junto com a linguagem utilizada não deixa o livro maçante de ler. Fora que ele traz um conteúdo incrível.

Alex: The book is quite interesting and there's a lot of different information but nothing particular. If you need a book on how to improve your voice, especially if you have some problems with it then this book is not gonna help you. Also if you need real advice on how to work with scripts and how to make your voice sound natural then again this book is not for you. The authors emphasize that first you have to be an actor and you need practice, practice and more practice. But anyway, if you want to know more about voice over industry in general and how everything works then it's pretty good book.

Pat: Just what I wanted

AdamWAdamW: I bought this book on the recommendation of a well respected Voice Actor, Robert Paulsen, who incidentally wrote the Foreword for this edition. I was asking him about resources for people looking to "break into the Biz"as it were. I myself do not aspire to produce voice over work, but I wanted to learn as much as I could to help my teenage son, who is autistic, have the opportunity to do so if he chooses that path. He has an innate aptitude for mimicry, and will practice independently to perfect his latest impression.
To be honest, this book has been everything I could have hoped for as far as relaying the necessary information, and I was delighted to find how much of themselves that Tara and Yuri have breathed into the pages. As a self proclaimed autodidact, I always enjoy when the author/s teach while also speaking in their own unique voice, or in this case, voices.
Thank you, Platt-Lowenthals, for this amazing labor of love. I look forward to referring back to it many times in the future.

Amazon Customer: This book is perfect for anyone looking to learn more about the voiceover industry or get into the VO industry themselves! As a voice actor myself I found the advice and tips in this book to be very rewarding. Yuri and Tara give you the ins and outs of being a voiceover artist in the modern industry. They give their tips and experiences on everything including auditioning, vocal warm-ups, marketing yourself, what to expect once you've booked a role, and even advice on how to make your own home studio. Highly recommended!

MMMM: I bought the first edition in print answer was exctatic to find the new edition on Kindle so I can literally carry it everywhere forever! The info is fresh and well written. Informative but easy to digest and punctuated with delightful anecdotes of voice actors' experiences in their trenches so to speak. It's one of those books that is hard to put down and is definitely worth reading more than once. It's actually an unofficial "text book"/recommended reading from my own VO coach! Give it a read! It reads like an email from old friends. Love you, Yuri and Tara - I hope we may meet in person one day!
