Lee Wilmeth: As far as sensors that work with Apple HomeKit, these are awesome. Easy to connect and, after 2 weeks of use, I'm please. However, the sticky mounts are crap. I've had a 50% failure of the included sticky pads. I would recommend not even using them and switch to a 3M command tab. It will save you a bunch of aggravation relatively easily.

Now, whenever I walk into either my front or my side door, the hallway lights turn on for me so that I can see after sundown. I also have the sensors set to trip an alarm system if the doors open when nobody registered to the home is currently in the house.

The sensors themselves are sleek and much smaller than they look in the photos. They are subtle and you hardly notice them when they're on your door or window.

krazygreekguykrazygreekguy: VOCOlinc continues to impress me with their quality products at affordable prices, compared to the well-known and much more expensive brands. They continue to develop smart home products that support all the major smart home platforms, which is great for user choice. That being said, this particular product they have come out with only supports Apple HomeKit, most likely due to the fact it communicates via Bluetooth. Their own mobile app is great as well because they push out frequent firmware updates, which is an excellent practice and shows me that this company cares about the quality of their products and their customers.

There’s only so much a contact sensor can stand out as unique amongst the other various contact sensors on the market, but VOCOlinc interestingly includes bright green LED, which flashes as the sensor senses it has been opened and/or closed. You can use this sensor in many ways, but typically it is used as a door or window sensor.
