Did exactly what I want boxed in perfect condition respond superfast. It was worth the price I would highly recommend it if you want something for turning on and off automatically for a plug-in.

Prof. Bernardo de la Paz: I used two smart plugs VP5x right away to use with HomeKit, out of the box. No extra or special software is required to have an iPhone-controlled outlet. Alas, several months later I tried to install the next two and they will NEVER finish the setup. Probably a firmware issue as doubtless HomeKit has evolved, but the old ones still work and I find no way to upgrade the firmware until they are connected. The price was good -- but with a 50% failure rate, the price in practice is twice as high. And the cost of my time trying to debug this means they are extremely expensive -- and I have to write this all off, I won't buy anything from Felion Technology Co., Ltd. in the future at any price.

PEI Shopper: These outlets are not even listed on Apple’s list of HomeKit outlets but they setup and maintain connection better than Meross, whom Apple lists for several devices. I am giving it a fair shake as I have 2 Meross devices that will not set up and every one of these VOCOlink connected just fine. I would DEFINITELY buy these again! I just wish they were thinner so they didn’t block the outlet next to them on the power bar. I needed 8 outlet spaces on my power bar to mount these 4 outlets. That’s the only reason they are 4 star instead of 5.

William L. Kuenzli: When installing on iOS and Home Kit ...... You MUST use the (free) VOCOlinc app - NOT the Google Home app - to install. You MUST install it in Home Kit mode on the VOCOlink app. And you MUST have iPhone or iPad (temporarily) on a 2 GHz Network - NOT a 5 GHz Network. I also temporarily turned Data off on my iPhone. If you don't do this, the install will fail, with a warning, every time. Once it installs - VOCOlinc immediately prompts to upgrade the firmware, which you should do.
Once it installs - and it WILL install, EVERY time, it integrates into the Home Kit environment seamlessly for further set up and performs perfectly. You can turn your 5 GHZ back on BTW.

CL: Good but so far I have had 2 disconnections (in 3 months) from 2 different outlets which can only be solved if you unolug it and plug back again or reset the device to factory alltogether. Not a big deal… unless you are away… that would not be good… so far do not trust them 100% but will see…

Ken: I purchased a new house and the garage did not have proper lighting only a spotlight. I installed a 2 workshop lights on and now when I come home I can open the garage and now turn on the lights via HomeKit. I works almost instant no delay. Only issue I had was I switched my home networking in the house from a normal to a mesh network. Which caused issues because my old router I had 2 networks with 2.4 and 5Ghz and it was a seemless to add. But with the Mesh Wifi System (EERO Mesh System) I had to use the app to turn off the 5Ghz to add the switches. I did have issues afterwards where they would connect but become unresponsive. I had reset and added them multiple times still had the issue but came back the next day and it all started working. I don't think this was the switches issue, I'm blaming the Eero for that one. Overall, Im happy with them. I bought 4 have only used 2 so far both work great and almost instant. Highly recommend for HomeKit use.

SobanSoban: It works with HomeKit and Alexa as well as Google and it works well.
It’s not too big, fairly well made, and not too heavy as well.
However, it is a headache to actually connect. And no the instructions aren’t helpful.
It’s not very user friendly but have some patience and do some trouble shooting (like reconnecting) and you will be good to go.

Amazon Customer: There's not much to these, they're smart plugs that turn something on and off when you program it to. The only "smart" items in my home are my lights and a Nest Thermostat. So I have been very interested in trying out "Smart" home technology, but never really had a need for a power outlet.
The Christmas, I got annoyed going behind the tree and plugging/unplugging the tree. I also felt like I wanted the tree lights on every time we were home, to maximize our efforts in even putting up the tree. So, I added this plug to my network and eventually into Amazon Alexa as well as my Apple Homekit. Once all connected, it hasn't had any hiccups or issues. It's pretty reliable, granted it's right next to my router, so I cannot speak for range.
I had some issues connecting. Not sure why... I'm fairly tech/network savvy. Eventually, I got it setup.
Now I have another one doing nothing right at this moment and I keep trying to think of things I can use it for and what I'm going to do with the one for the Christmas tree once it's gone. These definitely are a luxury for me. The reasoning behind the tree are really for convenience.
So I only really recommend this if you...

Client d'AmazonClient d'Amazon: As described. Good packaging. Easy to pair with Apple Homekit 👏 I liked that no other app is needed. My only concern is that the code to pair is above the switch, wich is not practical. It should be written in the instructions or on the side.
