Daniel FrostyDaniel Frosty: We bought this item for our kid to help his interest in space and was disappointed in it almost right out of the box. Even though we spent a small amount of money on it the reviews were about 50/50 and at the most it was a starter tool to see how far his interest would go before spending money on a more advanced telescope. Setting up the tripod and the locking tabs on two of the legs (see pictures) broke off easily. Our son was disappointed but we tried to use it anyway even though one of the legs would not lock in place. The focus is not the best but for 20$ what do you expect. This telescope is okay for smaller kids but would not suggest it for anyone else.

Sayantan PathakSayantan Pathak: The product is very nice. The product looks like this. The moon looks very nice with this. I have also seen planet venus through it. Very nice product. It comes with a 10mm and 5mm eyepiece. Celestron powerseekers are no better than it even in such a high price. You can even get its detail at telescope reviewer. Go and get a vivitar 50600 today. You even get a detailed manual with it. It comes with a height adjustable tripod. Ful extension gives it a height of 6ft. Celestron has a plastic body at such great prices whereas it has a full aluminium body. I even observed the moon craters and was stunned to see its efficiency. It gives a crystal clear picture of whether a celestial body or a far away unspottable thing. But i recommend new sky observers to learn observing the celestial bodies first with a binocular.

Kuky:

Every look up at the stars at night and wonder whats really out there? Have you ever laid on the grass at 3am and watched a meteor shower? Have you ever looked up at the moon and wished that just for one moment in time you could be up there? I have done all those things... I have loved the galaxy and stars and the moon my entire life.. I - sadly - have never owned a telescope before now (I'm 37 - pretty sad right?) I LOVE this telescope! It is so lightweight, and easy to carry! The tripod folds up nicely for great portability! To be honest I had never even looked through a telescope before purchasing this one. I bought it for my 8 year old son... He didn't really like it - so I use it! I am always looking at the moon a lot closer now!
I hope that some day when my son is a little older, he'll get half the enjoyment out of this that I do... I think all kids would really love it if they wanted to!
Super fast shipping and a wonderful telescope in general! Thank you!

John a Alves: I am an amchure. pro astronomer. I youse it as a scentdary. telescope. to my prmiary 12 in I have in my observatory. I built. in my backyard yes it's a little. flimsy in the tripod can see some creators. on the moon with it see the blue hase around the moon so that was good just cought the meteor shower tonight. never doing that again. becuse it looked so close also got to see a planet. with it. I think I confirmed it was, juptur with my bigger telescope. yes it was kind of blured. but. that's expected with a 60x to120x I am thinking about byeing extra eye pices up to 800x maybe 1000x, but over all when it's zeroed. in you can see enuff stuff. so I don't see where it is that bad like I said it's $50.00 list price. so it is worth 14.99.and it has standerd. lenes. so sum upgrading is possible so my review is 5 stars. and all I have to say is street it like a tool like every out her telscope

T. Craig: Very good for the price. It's a kids' telescope, so keep your expectations in check. But my son likes it and it works. One note: The tripod is very flimsy, and stability is a big part of the effectiveness. So you may need to consider an alternative tripod than the one that it comes with.

MS: ok mais c'est de la camelote pour du vivitar, soi-disant marque de qualité au niveau photographie... Tout est en plastique. Dommage

William l.: Good starter but not high quality. Takes a little finesse to focus and tripod is flimsy and wobbles a lot, but works
