It comes with a bag to store it in or transport it. It's sturdy and can hold two people as long as your hammock is rated for that weight. I love it and enjoyed spending summer evenings laying in my hammock watching kids play or sunsets. I definitely recommend this to anyone considering to purchase.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I bought a hammock in Belize. It is quite long. This stand accommodates the size, as there are different levels to put the hooks. I have had absolutely no issues. Very happy!

Nox: I sleep in a hammock every night. After 1 month the stand started to creak a little bit but it still feels very sturdy.

Hilary: So far so good. I haven't had it for long so I can't really say for sure whether it is durable or not. It wasn't hard to put together (I did it in the dark, at night).
I have a hammock that was hand made in Bolivia and this works really well because I was able to adjust it.
I live in an apartment and have a balcony where I will be using this. If you have a small balcony, I wouldn't buy this stand but mine is big enough that this fits just fine.
I'm excited to use my hammock for the rest of the summer!

Kindle Customer: I've been a hammock guy for nearly 40 years... I've got fancy Hennessy Hammocks, cheap Guatemalan hammocks... you name it... but I've rarely used a stand because they were too bulky, heavy and hard to put up and store... This does the trick with nearly every kind of hammock I have... it comes in a nice little case, is heavy duty enough for a big 280 pounder like me and can be put together or taken down in a couple of minutes if you need to move it or store it. It "may" not work as well with a hammock with spreader bars at each end, but any other kind of hammock works great...
And here is the important part.... it is fully adjustable! Your extra long Guatemalan Hammock will work on it and so will your shorter canvas hammock... the way it works is that you simply move the hooks up or down on the posts... that's it... simple, easy, quick...
I HIGHLY recommend it for small patios or balconies where you can't hang a hammock from a couple of trees but you also don't want a monster hammock stand taking up room all of the time. And is is great to throw in the car for camping or just enjoying it a the park... small, compact and easy to set up... what more could you ask...

Casey DeLorme: I received this stand a week ago to go alongside a purchase of an Eno Doublenest Hammock.
The good news is the stand holds my 220 pounds with no trouble and feels very sturdy, even on carpets there is almost no wiggling. The unfortunate news is the length and height of the stand fall a bit short of my expectations.
While inside the hammock I am within 5 inches from the ground, and it barely reaches my thigh's when nobody is inside it, making it very poor for use as a chair-height hang. I don't find extremely low sitting heights to be appealing, but that may be a preference.
I used it for 3/5 nights that I have had it, but will be switching back to hanging off random semi-sturdy posts in my house. I won't return it due to shipping costs and I move in two weeks where I won't have an alternative to hang from. I was sad that no extensions are available online for this stand (though I could spend half as miuch as the stand on a third-party extension), so I will probably end up building my own to add may be a foot of length and half a foot of height.
It is advertised as a 9 foot stand (picking it for my large hammock is my own fault), and it is sturdy,...

P. Wright: The last tropical storms to roll through Florida damaged the trees in my backyard, forcing me to have them removed. One thing that my family has missed is our hammock, which had be strung up between our trees, providing us with a shaded, cool place to relax.
We no longer have the trees, and our hammock has been stored in the garage gathering dust. I purchased the Vivere hammock stand as a way to get back to those times. I was looking for a hammock stand that could be constructed when needed and taken down if we needed more space on our back patio. Based on the past reviews for this product on this site, I decided to go ahead and make the purchase.
The hammock stand arrived per the shipping delivery schedule, right on time. Initial construction was a snap, extremely straightforward and easy. I would say it took me about 15 minutes to put the stand together the first time. The Vivere hammock stand is made of sturdy material and felt `solid' when put together, this was important to me as I did not want that feeling of a rickety, poorly constructed stand when swinging in the hammock. Unfortunately for me, my old rope two-person hammock didn't fit that well into the stand. It was...

waratahpastoralco: Excellent product for smaller hammocks.
If you have a good quality true queen hammock these are a tad short in length. they work, but the hammock material ends up right up in the stirrup which means you cannot use the cords to stretch out your hammock width properly.
A simple fox to this would be if the company made the horizontal floor tube adjustable .
But this is still a great stand !
