Offelia: We've nicknamed my dog "Splashins" because she loves to take a mouthful of water, then get distracted and smile, spilling it all over the place. So I've moved her bowl into a corner and placed it on this mat and it seems to work- it does catch 80-90% of the splashed water. And thanks to the slightly raised edges, the water doesn't flow out. I just let it be and it air dries. Otherwise I'd be wiping it 5 times a day. It has small anti-slip dots which I reckon may make washing a little tougher. As the mat itself is silicone, I had no problems with the bowl moving at all. And it's nice and heavy enough to be flat (unlike some mats where the edges roll up).

I wish there were a few more size choices.

LapsedPacifist: I initially got one for our youngest kitty, as she was a mucky eater. It ensured that the food went onto the matt, rather than our floor; the matt is easy enough to clean, I usually take it into the bath with a sponge and some detergent, run the shower, then let dry.
I ended up purchasing another as we got another rescue who gets so excited with his food, it goes everywhere! This now protects the carpet from getting mucky/wet. Perfect for the intended use (lots of space for one bowl with wet food, another with biccies, and another for water).
I see some have said this doesn't flatten properly, but I have not had that problem having had two now.

Sarah: Just what a wanted. I have three messy eaters (who also scratch around the tray when they have finished eating). This mat is exactly what I wanted. It doesn't move around on the floor, it's easily washable/wipeable and it's very flexible, so you can lift it up by the edges and simply drop the leftovers/crumbs in the bin. It's very durable too. I'm on this page as I am just about to order another one!

When first ordered I had slight issue with mat. A little thinner than expected but the mat is ideal for purpose. Also it comes rolled as packaged. This rolled effect caused edges to curl. I used a heat gun to warm and flatten. But just laying out it would done the same, I just expedited the process.

Customer Care read review and was excellent in their response. They were concerned about my satisfaction. A few emails from them and they addressed my concerns. The mat is fine, works great. But I mentioned the curling of edges and such. I just cheated and heated it some to get it to flatten out. Anyways they address customer satisfaction completely and I am more than impressed by their response.
If you have any concerns, they will address it and make you as pleased as possible.

Mat works great, prevents spills and such on floor. Customer Care above and beyond what you would expect.

Lincoln County MT: Ok for one week this little mat seemed to work perfectly for what we had high hopes for. Then kitty figured it out and he began not just playing with his food dishes and food but also the mat too. Kitty even took a few bites out of mat. Needless to say within the second week it came up and a bit bigger boot tray went down in it's place. To be fair the boot tray is not fairing much better. We put a non skid mat under the tray no kitty now finds it fun to push tray all over and yank the non slip mat out from under tray. Food continues to be thrown and chased all over kitchen floor. Pet parents are beside themselves with laughing at kitties shanigans and trying to reason with kitty that you do not play with your food. We are now planning to purchase a Video action activated camera to capture kitty in this drama and post the best on Youtube in hopes to win sympathy and notoriety in the CAT VIDEO watching club. Ok not but kitty is so dang cute and so dang annoying we are at a loss. Mind you we have had many cats over the years of our 48 year marriage and never had one that played with their food and made it a complete crazy fun game and ignored most of the NO's and pouts if they are...

Artemism: Getting my cat to even touch this mat was a rather comical battle. I bought an extra large one because he tends to make epic messes and leaves wet cat food and water everywhere. Anyway, he had to step on the mat to get to his food since I got such a large one, and he was frantically pacing around the mat wanting his food. I gave in and moved it closer and for a few meals he managed to eat without touching the mat, but was also making a mess off the mat. So I finally moved his bowls and shoved him onto the mat. He stood there for a second looking totally confused, then was suddenly like oh well, and laid down on the mat. So he finally got over his issues lol...he stands on it to eat now and does ok, but I think he does still find the bumps a little annoying. But it is fairly easy to clean as long as you don’t try to use a paper towel to scrub because the bumps catch and rip it up.
