AdryAdry: Bought this for a paddle boarding trip for my 33lb pup and it was great. I followed the size measurements and the fit was perfect! I loved the color as well. My dog was not restricted in any way while swimming and it definitely helped her stay afloat. The handle was super helpful allowing me to pick her up out of the water.

Marion E.: Für unseren Angsthasen war die Weste die ideale Unterstützung um schwimmen auch als Spaß und Abkühlung kennen zu lernen. 15 kg ist er schwer und hat nicht den besten Körperbau um gut schwimmen zu können. Mit der Weste konnte er sich erstmal auf das Wasser konzentrieren ohne sich gleich zu verausgaben und die neue Anstrengung erstmal trainieren. Vor allem im Meer war sie aufgrund der Wellen super, er hatte keine Probleme wenn er mal überspült wurde. Da er sich immer brav hingesetzt hat wenn ich sie angelegt habe gehe ich davon aus das er sich aufs Wasser gefreut hat, hätte es ihm nicht gefallen wäre er wahrscheinlich geflüchtet wenn ich sie in die Hand nehme.
Gewicht, Körperbau und Beinlänge passen nicht optimal um einen guten Schwimmer aus ihm zu machen,
und ohne Weste war Wasser ein Drama. Kein Thema mehr. Ich geh immer mit ihm ins Wasser und lass ihn an einer längeren Leine sein Spielzeug holen, funktioniert prima. Die Weste lässt sich ganz einfach anlegen.
Super Produkt und tolle Unterstützung für Hunde die man langsam ans Wasser gewöhnen muss die grundsätzlich nicht die besten Eigenschaften haben um gute, sichere Schwimmer zu werden.

issyissy: I bought this for my dog to come on our paddle boards with us. She is a strong swimmer but she had an op on her back leg 2 years ago so I just wanted her to have some help if she decided to jump in. She loves it and gets so excited when I get it out. It fits her like a glove and also has a loop to attach a lead so very handy. I also like that it attached by Velcro and clips so it is super secure on her. She loves jumping off of the board into the water so the handle at the top makes it easy to help her back on and the bright orange makes it easy to keep an eye on her when she’s in the water. I’ve recommended this to friends and they all love it too.

Eiko: Wir haben diese Weste bereits beim Kanu fahren und am Meer erprobt mit einem sechs Monate alten Schäferhund. Unsere "Kleine" hat darin sogar im Kanu geschlafen.

Sie bietet genügend Spielraum zum Schwimmen, klar engt es anders ein, als ein Geschirr, aber es wird ja auch nicht dauerhaft getragen. Lässt sich gut einstellen!

Kleiner Tipp:
Die Weste ändert das hundeeigene Klima!

Gerade bei kühlem Wetter zwischendrin mal ausziehen und den Hund schütteln lassen. Unserer Hündin wurde darunter schnell kalt, weil sie das Wasser am Fell nicht loswerden konnte.

Im Sommer beim Kanu fahren genau das Gegenteil. Da war es in der Pause wichtig, das Ding auszuziehen, damit sie auch darunter gut abkühlen kann.

She is Chihuahua, Pomeranian, Poodle (small), Miniature Schnauzer, Dachshund, Pekingese, Maltese, and Supermutt (thanks Embark). She’s about 1.5 years old, and weighs 13-14 lbs. Her neck is 13”, girth is 17.5” and length (from base of neck to base of tail) is 15”. I bought her the XS in hunter orange, and it fits PERFECT and looks great. Even if her girth or neck were larger, it would still fit, as there is room to make it larger. The hook and loop material for the underbelly is solid instead of having strips that need to meet up, so it is very secure. The neck strap has a nice pad on the inside so it doesn’t irritate the neck. The arm holes to the underbelly closure are deep enough that they don’t rub under her armpits, and the neoprene material is thin and soft, so it wouldn’t irritate her if they did. The flotation pads aren’t bulky, so I’m not worried about her overheating or getting anything snagged under the neck of the vest. The lift strap on the back seems secure and is slightly padded, so it’s comfortable to use. We live in Florida and she loves being on the ocean kayak and laying in the pool on floats...

Robert: I have a 50-pound terrier mix named Orion who looks and acts like a deranged Muppet. He’s also not a good swimmer. We went to our neighborhood park today, which features a large lake in the center. I put this life jacket on him (first time wearing one) and let him float around in the water for a second. My fiancé said, “Hey, maybe don’t let him in the water without a leash, because he’s insane.” I insisted he was fine; he always came back when he got tired. Orion realized he was now invincible, so he shot off after a flock of geese. I once again told Robert, the owner of this Amazon account, that everything was fine.

Orion was gliding smoothly through the water, frightening local wildlife and drawing attention from the large crowd of evening joggers and strolling families.
