LSFlorida: We purchased this a couple of years ago and boy is it powerful. I have used it for so many things. Right now I am looking for another container to use with it. I love it. The only slight negative is that I have a hard time getting the two parts apart to clean. But I am 74 YO and have problems with my hands so that is why I am sure.

Carson: We needed a powerful blender in our travel for health reasons (we make custom cat food for our cat), and this immersion blender from Vitamix is a GODSEND! You can feel the quality of the build right away. Has all the power you would need. And unlike a lot of other blenders, it has a double blade. The blending attachment is extremely well designed and will not make contact with the vessel you're blending in.

Worth the premium.

Cyndi W: I make soap, and needed a good stick blender for soap making. I have been through so many cheaper brands, I was sick of trying them only to have them work for a short time before they went out on me. So I was thrilled to find out that Vitamix made a stick blender. I LOVE this one. It works wonders, hasn't given me any problems at all, and I've had it going on a year now. If anything does happen to this one, I'm buying the same one again because I love it! It works great, and cleans up in a breeze.

catmando: I use this immersion blender every day to make smoothies. Throw everything into a 32oz mason jar and blend, and it comes out perfect. I do have to smash my ice cubes a bit as it struggled a bit with whole ice cubes, but I don't often put ice in my smoothies as my fruit is usually frozen. I almost never use the top speed as I find it's TOO powerful, and suctions to the bottom pretty bad.

What I do think wasn't worth it was the whisk attachment. It's way less well built than the blade attachment. The housing is entirely what feels like cheap plastic, and it rattles a lot when I use it. You can just feel how terrible it is in your hands. I've tried whipping up some heavy cream with it, making cake batter, creaming butter and every time, it was just way better to do it by hand. The device is also just so tall, that it's unwieldy to even use. Just use the blades to whip cream, and use a dedicated hand mixer to mix anything else.

If I hadn't gotten this at the same price as the immersion blender on it's own, I'd have been really upset, but as it is, I got a nice case and a great immersion blender for a decent price.

While I use the blender for various jobs, it is quite big. I saw an ad for this immersion blender, I thought why not give it a go! We do have the kitchenaid stick blender as well and next to this, it’s like a not even on the same scale, not even close. If you have ever used a vitamix, you know it’s built to last a lifetime. It’s a brand you can trust. If you can’t see yourself splurging on the big blender, this is a VERY good alternative that does the job just as well! In seconds, it pulverizes ice to make the perfect consistency smoothies. No chunks! The design of the bottom ensures the liquid is sucked into the blade and not the blade sucked into the container. It has the perfect weight and is easy to hold in any size hand. Yes, one hand is all you need on the stick itself. It looks great in the kitchen, too!
