Krocc: When i got these I immediately loved how they looked and how they felt in my hand. The caps snap on very well and they do not leak. I have tested them thoroughly. Even had one cap have the bottom portion break off that you would typically see on caps to show that the "seal has been broken" and even with that part missing the lid still holds on tight and is leak proof. I'm able to spread my milk into multiple glass containers now not exposing those bottles to the room temps and constant opening like you would with a full gallon container, thus keeping those portions fresh for longer. Would recommend to any milk drinker who regularly buys a gallon of milk!

CatLady: I was reusing gallon milk jugs to make iced tea, but concerned about heating the plastic and also they would get funky after a while. I looked for a while for a glass jug that was the same shape, but all I could find was ones with huge bottoms that would take up too much fridge door space and be too heavy. This pair has solved all of that. They’re light and easy to grip and they fit in the door no problem.

They come with two different types of lids. I thought both would be silicone but only the spout one is; the other is hard plastic. I don’t use the spout as it’s a little awkward, but do I use that lid because the other one doesn’t come off as easily when you want it too.

If using for hot tea, be sure to wait for it to cool before putting it in the fridge and don’t put hot liquid in it while it’s still cold from the fridge. I haven’t had anything happen but I know glass doesn’t like big temperature swings. Well worth taking these precautions to keep them in good shape.

Horatio: Our milk in Canada can be purchased in bag-form -- 4 litres worth (basically 4 quarts) divided into three bags. However, the opened bags do not store well. These glass bottles are so excellent! We transfer milk into these classic bottles and the last drop is as fresh as the first. They easily store in the fridge with their classic square sides. Although they come with soft silicone pour-tops, we find the firm plastic tops that also come with them work just fine and keep the milk perfectly fresh. Good thick glass, easy to clean. Highly recommend.

Joseph Huza: Great purchase. Has the feel and look of old time glass milk bottles. I knew the volume of bottles was slightly less that the 1L bags so I use a second bottle for overflow.
I bought them so that they take less place in my small fridge at the office. The only reason why I gave this 4 stars as opposed to 5: no tactile option to make sure bottles don't slip out of one's hand when handling bottles and it would be nice to be able to label the bottles for different types of milk (I use a marker which does the trick).

CrankyJinVT: Ok. I’ve been waiting to write the review on these bottles for a little while because I wanted to be sure my review was going to be accurate and really, truly, reflective of the bottles and the experience they’ve provided us thus far.

The "bad" news first:
Other reviewers here mentioned that the bottles they ordered showed up broken, and their negative reviews reflected this unfortunate experience. Interestingly enough, my first order of bottles arrived with a broken bottle as well. When exploring the packaging it’s not terribly surprising. While each bottle IS wrapped in bubble wrap, it’s a pretty thin layer and the bottles are all packaged pretty tightly together in the box. However!…the package comes with a card included inside that provides VERY clear directions on how to follow up on this IF you encounter a broken bottle.
Ok, then. So, I followed the directions. Easy peasy. In moments I was through to an Amazon support person and relayed to them the exact language to use as suggested on the card. Within moments, the support person had placed a replacement order for me, free of charge.
To be clear about this, the card included in the package also...
