Deanna Goudie: OK. So they don't flicker. There's no "flame", just light. One doesn't work at all! And one had a set of old-looking batteries in it, as if someone had bought them, tried them out and returned them, forgetting to remove the batteries from one of them. I also thought they'd be a bit darker in color, like real birch bark. Kicking myself now for not ordering a more expensive brand. I guess you get what you pay for.

Niki B: I have bought 2 sets of these now and I love them! Looks great in the fireplace and in the bathroom around my tub. Cozy and relaxing. Makes the room warm. They take alot of AA batteries that are not included. Last a long time and come with 2 remotes.
