I bought this pool cleaner the first time, and it lasted be two summers in the hot Las Vegas sun. For the price, I was okay with the 2 year performance. When it broke in March of 2023, I bought a second one, expecting it to last me another 2 years. WRONG! This is NOT the same product I bought before. This one is very crappy and the quality is ZERO. After 2 months it only works off an on, and some parts have already broken, and are being held together by zip ties. I would not buy again! I have been a pool owner since 2006, and I maintain my own pool. I'm an experienced owner and know how to work my equipment, treat my pool water, and maintain it... I would not recommend this to any pool owner, specially newbies who are still learning how things work. Find another bargain!

Don Lahr: Over the past 50 years I've had 5 pool vacuums and they all did a fairly good job and most lasted as long as you'd expect plastic to do. I am impressed enough with this one that I'm not only posting a review but am giving it 5 stars! It has a regulator which the instructions said to turn all the way up to start, then if need be turn down until it operates to my satisfaction. I did that and was totally impressed at how fast it went and how much suction power it had! I turned the regulator almost to the minimum it would go just to see the difference. At the lowest setting it sucks better and travels faster than any I've ever had! It picks up dirt and debris, leaves, small twigs and I'm not lying, even a dozen 1/4" stones that paver contractors accidentally got in the pool. I've had 1 very noisy vacuum that had a thing that hit the floor as it worked and 3 that use the diaphragm tube for suction, and these diaphragms always get a split in them that disable the whole thing forcing you have to have a few handy for replacement, (usually you just get the 1 in the vacuum, but this time I got the one already installed PLUS 2 extra diaphragms!). This one, while being the most powerful, is...

SonnyB: I bought this based on a wirecutter.com recommendation. I have a small fiberglass pool, it's rectangular 11' x 24' and about 5400 gallons. It has gently rounded corners. It only changes depth by 6 inches. During assembly it doesn't mention that there's a special hose section with the same connector on both ends that must be used to connect to the vacuum source. I reassembled it several times thinking I must have missed a step or something critical. No, it's just figure it out yourself. It of course was at the bottom of the box. With several other unused hose sections.
The pool cleaner got stuck in the same corner every time. I went thru the trouble shooting options in the manual.
- I checked the foot pad installation,
- Shortened the hose,
- I adjusted the return jet downward
- Adjusted the regulator to fully open, fully closed and several places in between,
- I checked for debris in regulator and in the cleaner.
It still makes a circuit around the pool and stops in the same place. It has ample suction. It just doesn't work well in my pool.
I called support and all they offered to do was process a return. I don't need them for that, I can...

ricky dricky d: I had bought the blue Vingli model a year ago and so this review will mostly compare the blue model to this gray one. Both work well and I have been using the new gray model for about a week. The first thing I noticed different on this model is that the tubes running through it are both clear which is nice because I could now easily see if something gets stuck in there. The inner workings look pretty much the same besides that. I included some photos side by side so you can see the differences in the outside design. The first thing I noticed when I started running it is that it was quite a bit quieter than the blue model which is nice. One problem I had with the blue model is that it would frequently get stuck in the corner where the stairs meet the edge. This model was doing pretty well at not getting stuck but eventually did. On the older model I had moved the deflector ring lower which seemed to help some. I tried to move it lower on this model but there is a piece just below the ring that you could remove on the old model but it is fixed on this one and the deflector ring won't fit over it. The only way to get it lower is to split the inner ring of the deflector and pry it...

Lou Soileau: I bought this product because we have a 35 year old fiberglass in-ground pool and I wanted something which would clean without leaving tread marks or wheel marks on the walls. This product takes some learning-time to balance flow rate and suction to enable it to operate well. But, once you have it down, it is pretty easy to manage. HOWEVER, it will "blow itself apart" if your pump pressure is too high. I was not going to purchase a $600 adjustable rate pump so I solved the problem another way.I slipped a large, flat, thin rubber washer around the suction end of the yellow suction tube. It cost about $0.10 but was free to me since I had two in my washers collection. Works great. Sweeps my whole pool in about 8 hours. And, continues to be gentle to my pool's aging finish.
