Philip Bellerjeau Sr.: I enjoyed reading this story about our L.R
R.P. soldiers in the Veitnam War. It was informative and a fast-paced read .

Stipo: Great book. I did not serve and have felt abit guilty ever since. I've read a lot about VN and Camper was able to put what he experienced into words that once again stir my heart... and guilty feelings.

C. Bruhn: This is a must read for anyone interested in the LRRP of Vietnam. There are a handful of context errors, the timelines juggle, and you may have to backtrack a few pages from time to time. The book hits like a hammer and evokes a certain wow factor that makes an impact. This is a unpolished gem that should be required reading for high school seniors. The man writing was nineteen years old compiling these life experiences. I truly enjoyed it and said prayers for Danny and Ron.

donald huff: Gives a great real life overview of lrrps linking it to real events in Vietnam. Paints a very realistic picture of the war and that era.

TimJ: Stories told first hand are always the best. I am the same age as the author and although a civilian in the UK during his time in Vietnam my friends and I followed all the news reports with alarm and sympathy for those very young and talented men, fighting and dying for their country so far from home. We also learned with disgust of their subsequent treatment back in their homeland. This book took me straight back to 60s and 70s, the good times and the bad. We should salute all those young men who simply did their duty at the behest of such poor politicians.

Darrell A. Bradley: Today's MIC is just as active today as the 1960`s, only more sinister and corrupt. 9-11 was the event used to launch RVN II, I.e. Afghanistan and Iraq. The invasion of Iraq was predicated on a lie, just like Viet Nam (Gulf of Tonkin). The middle class sends their sons & daughters to be killed and maimed, and their jobs get sent to China. The politicians just talk, get rich, get seats on boards or high paying government jobs, and in the end the poor citizens are the ones who suffer. It's a RACKET!!

Kindle Customer: Enjoyed reading the LRRP story like most specialist units they were underfunded and undervalued at the start but soon showed their true worth in combat and in missions and information gathered for future operations for larger unit actions brave men who were at times misused by higher formations lack of operational value small unit actions .

United Kingdom on Mar 31, 2023

carl evans: Very very brave men , great and very interesting accounts of the missions , and the successes but also how much they were let down by the upper echelons who had no idea of the dangers and difficulties of the front line soldier in a very specialised role

United Kingdom on Mar 07, 2023

Totus Verus: This man has a perspective and an opinion, from his narrative, he has little time for the political cast that brought this situation about. Even less time and understanding for the failure to carry out this war with all the might available. Political Correctness had no place then as it has no place now, facts, reality and expedience should have been the dominant factors in this war, as in any other. He told it as he saw it and I believe he told it as it was .
