TheEditorTheEditor: I've owned and carried a lot of pocket knives over the years, from an inexpensive stockman inherited from my grandfather, to high-end lock blades with modern super steels. But I always come back to the Swiss Army Knife. They are reliable and durable knives that can last for years - and so useful.

The Huntsman is a particularly good combination of weight (3.4oz) and size (3.58in/91mm) versus utility.
I can't imagine getting along without the main blade, scissors, and wood saw, especially when outdoors. I also find use for the mini-screwdriver that stores in the corkscrew for things like tightening eyeglass screws. If you plan to hike and camp much, this knife will pay for itself many times over.

raven: The only thing I added to this awesome tool was after market grips that had a slot to add an ink pen. The tool set works really well for me. If you need a certain tool set I am sure you can find a SAK to fit your needs :)

Myron: I've had many of these swiss army knives over the years and the Victorinox ones have always been great. I've lost more of these over the years than I care to admit and always order a new one when I misplace or lose one. They're just great pocketknives.

babeck: Das Produkt ist ein Geschenk und es ist richtig klasse. Wie man es von einem Schweizer Messer gewohnt ist, ist die Qualität klasse. Sehr robust und nicht zu groß.
Die Lieferung hat superschnell funktioniert.

Nur der Ort wo das Produkt von Hermes abgelegt wurde, war nicht in Ordnung. Mein Mann hat es auf der Mülltonne gefunden.

Roland Kalita: Für mich der Klassiker unter den "schweizer" taschenmessern. So praktisch und handlich, dass ich diesen Gegenstand täglich mit mir führe. Mega praktisch auch immer wieder die Pinzette als auch der Zahnstocher. Mit der Pinzette habe ich schon etliche Zecken nach Wanderungen problemlos entfernt. Die Qualität ist spitze und meine Erwartungen wurden absolut erfüllt. Der Kundensupport soll auch sehr gut sein.

B: I am not an outdoorsman by trade, but I appreciate nature and being able to take care of ones self in it and in the day to day. I life multifunction items, that actually works and is helpful for a multitude of tasks. This checks all those boxes. I love the black scales. Though not the iconic red, still very nice. This has all the tools you could need in urban life and for small fishing or camping trips,maybe hiking. The blades and tools are basically steel but very reliable and easy to sharpen. The size is nice,big enough to work,small enough to easily carry. The blades are sharp and the tools work good for their intended purposes.

Just remember what this thing is for,it's a pocket knife. For small and slightly bigger jobs. Opening packages, fishing activities, fire making etc. The saw for example is extremely nice and sharp. It could probably cut kindling up to an inch thick,maybe a bit more. Feather stick nicely etc. Has a nice selection of tools like wire stripper,flat and phillips head, bottle and can opener,awl, cork screw, tweezers, tooth pick, parcel hook etc. I think the toothpick is the most useless of them all, but as many pointed out, you can replace it with...

Frank Völkle: Seit meinem 12. Geburtstag (und das ist schon länger her ;-) befindet sich in meiner Hosentasche das "Huntsman". Es sind die für mich gebräuchlichsten Werkzeuge (große Klinge, Säge, Schere, Schraubenzieher (Dosenöffner/Flaschenöffner) und Pinzette dran. Die kleine Klinge, Ahle, Korkenzieher und Tragehilfe sind eher schmückendes Beiwerk, aber durchaus mal nützlich.
Die Qualität ist seit Jahren unverändert hoch und nahezu unverwüstlich. In meinem Angelkoffer befindet sich das älteste aus meiner "Sammlung" und dürfte von vor der Jahrtausendwende stammen. Bis auf Gebrauchsspuren keine Gebrauchseinschränkung.
Die Größe an sich ist auch perfekt in der Hand und trägt nicht groß in der Tasche auf, wie z. B. das Ranger oder Handyman - von noch "größeren" mal abgesehen... ;-)
Absolut uneingeschränkte Kaufempfehlung in Sachen Alltagstauglichkeit, Langlebigkeit und Qualität.

PS: wer sich an zerkratzen oder losen Griffschalen stört - das lässt sich binnen Sekunden für schmalen Taler reparieren!

Jimmy S: This is the fifth Swiss Army knife variant I’ve owned since the mid-80’s and this is the first one I bought since I left the US Army in late 1992. Yes, they do wear out after a while and break when dropped on hard surfaces or just from constant usage but, they do come in extremely handy when you have one. The last one I bought was when I was with the 101st ABN DIV while serving in an infantry reconnaissance platoon and everyone, including my 1st lieutenant platoon leader, had one as part of their rollout gear. We all had one that included the small scissors because, we would cut the MRE main meal pack horizontally instead of using the pre-tear cut at the top. Best way to get to ALL the food particles. Grunts know about being hungry! I still have that Swiss knife but, scissor tension bar broke many years ago and the main long knife tip broke off also so it was TIME for a new one and a smaller model upgrade. The knife showed up earlier than expected and it is now part of my backpacking-day hike-everyday survival gear. This one is half the size of the other and much more compact, which I like a lot.
