jb3jb3: Pleasantly surprised by this bike rack. I did not know what to expect being that it was significantly cheaper than other bike racks I have purchased by Allen and Thule but I must say the build quality is right on par with those! The strap and bar system is actually better than any others I've tried as well. It's so much easier and convenient that the straps and cradle are directly in the middle. It is able to hold 5 bikes but I only used it for 4 which we're 2 adult bikes and 2 children bikes. I skipped one cradle so everything fit fine and not snug and rubbing against each other. I'm sure you could fit 5 bikes on this but I'm almost certain it would be tight especially if they were 5 adult bikes. I took one star away for the flimsy bolt that locks the hitch in place. While it's functional it definitely doesn't make me feel warm all over flying down the interstate. With that said, we took it on a 2 hour road trip and everything remained secured so that's a major plus!

NatalieNatalie: We got this rack to replace the hanging style that straps to the back of your vehicle. We were looking for something more sturdy. We are incredibly pleased with this rack. It came with everything you need to put it together. It took about 30 minutes to put together. We drove 400 miles for our first trip out with this rack and it did amazing. We checked the rack every time we stopped just for peace of mind, but every knob stayed completely tightened the bikes didn’t budge even an inch and the rack was very sturdy. The threaded bolt that comes with the rack that goes into the hitch makes it completely solid. I can’t say enough positive things about this rack. A lot of people have commented about the bar being bent. It is an intentional bend and is 100% normal. The one in the installation video is even bent. If you’re looking for a budget friendly rack under 200.00, go with this one!

Danielle: Have had this since April 2021, stored in doors when not in use.

It is already rusting and the pin that holds the bars up to store the bikes on the rack already broke. I checked the other one and it too is near breaking as well.

Sadly disappointed and as far as I can see there is no warranty so buyer beware.

Robert: Easy to use and tilt feature makes getting into rear of vehicle easier.
Like using straps as apposed to plate and nuts to secure bikes easier and faster to load unload bikes.
Only down side so far no where to mount number plate.

B. R.B. R.: This bicycle platform is excellent value for money.
I've purchased it for my 2018 Ford Focus hatchback and went through the trouble of getting a converter from flat tongue to hitch for this rack.
Delivery was fast (considering Christmas and COVID) and I was surprised on how heavy the package was (15kg, I think).
Assembly was attainable for me (as a woman), instructions are clear. Everything on this rack is heavy duty so I had to get my partner to fasten the screws tighter and I bought adjustable wrenches to give me more leverage - the supplied tools were too small to get enough leverage to fasten the screws tightly.
Quality is great - and bonus it's made in Taiwan!
I'm very happy with this product and can recommend it.

Mark: I grew tired of the post style bicycles jamming up and not fitting the bicycles appropriately, creating scratches on bicycles. But I was dismayed at the $600 to $1000 price range of the "deck" style 4 ct bicycle carriers. So I took a chance on this rack. Glad I did. I just returned from a 700 mile trip with three bicycles. The bikes were held safely and securely. I very pleased with this purchase.
Advantages:
1. Very sturdy, no give, safely transporting bicycles.
2. Relatively easy to unload bicycles quickly without damaging the paint jobs.

Disadvantages:
1. Heavy. I'm a pretty large person, but I inserted the frame into the hitch receiver without much effort; however, two people can accomplish this task easily.
2. Unable to secure the rack from theft. I overcame this drawback somewhat by using a Kryptonite cable through the frames of the bicycles and securing to my truck hitch. It's very important you leave no slack in the cable if you leave the cable attached while transporting.
3. Unable to tilt or swing out of the way. If you are driving a hatchback or SUV, this could be an important issue.

If money is not an issue, get...

Ena: It was hard to find a 5 bike rack (especially during COVID) and to find one at such a good price was a no brainer. Only used it once on a hour round trip, next trip will be a 6hr round trip most likely in the rain, we will see how it weathers. Husband was most impressed with it, quality is good and delivery and service was fast.
