Custeemade: As a beach lover, I was looking for a sun shelter that would provide ample protection and space for my family on our beach days. I decided on the Venustas beach tent based on its excellent reviews. After using it all summer, here is my assessment:
Pros:
- Very effective sun protection with UPF 50+ UV blocking material. No more sunburns!
- Surprisingly spacious interior that comfortably fits 2 adults and 2 kids.
- Multiple large windows with adjustable covers to control airflow.
- Lightweight and compact - easy for one person to carry and set up alone.
- Carry case keeps tent clean and protected during transport.
Cons:
- Fiberglass poles feel flimsy and can come apart easily during setup/takedown.
- Fabric ripped along pole channel on first use. Durability concerns.
- Only offered in limited color options - wanted more variety.
- A bit pricey for the quality compared to basic pop up tents.
Overall, the Venustas beach tent performed nicely to keep our family shaded and protected from the harsh sun, wind, and sand. However, the cheap poles and ripped fabric after one use makes me worry about its long-term durability. For the...

jpaul93: This tent is awesome but the biggest issue was that the pole system broke after only a few uses. Not sure if it'll be usable now. Guess we'll have to find out next summer.

Fabricio: It is a nice-sized tent. It held up really well against the wind. So as the umbrellas were being packed up because of the high winds we were good under our tent.
It isn't difficult to put it up at all. Folding it is another story, so I just ended up rolling it as best I could and forcing it into the small bag.
The cord inside the pole snapped after the second day of use. Not a terrible issue but it is annoying that I have now be careful not to lose any of the pieces.
Overall a good tent but I don't think it will last a very long time.

Jeremy Lichtman: This tent was great for sun and wind protection when we were on the beach with our 8-month old. The hardest part was setting it up: it was a windy day, and only one adult was able to set it up, which took a lot of time and involved a lot of tent blowing into strangers' faces. The key step that I didn't understand was filling the sand bags on the sides of the tent to help hold it down. Once a stranger pointed that out, it was a lot simpler to erect.
Once the tent was up (and sandbags filled-- the tent poles don't do much for keeping the tent grounded on sand) it was exactly what we needed. Roomy, shady, and much cooler than the outdoors.
Taking it down would probably also have been easier with two people, but was definitely easier than setting it up. One of the elastic ropes running through one of the poles snapped, and the company replaced it with two free poles within days.
TL;DR: great purchase, if a bit tricky to set up and take down with just one person.

Veola Hurley: Great tent. Set up was straightforward. take down was easy however trying to put back into small bag was hard. It did not fit. I will be buying a small duffle bag for it instead. I don’t mind however if I was planing on fitting this in A backpack or if I had limited space and needed a tent that collapses small, I wouldn’t get it, but so far I just fold it the best I can and place in car!

BrandiBrandi: I’m super happy with this little beach tent! In its case, it’s just as compact and lightweight as they claim (my 5yo easily carried it without complaint). I set it up myself on a windy beach without any help in about 5 minutes. The only slightly annoying part of setup is that the pole connections come apart quite easily (very different than my high-quality camping tent poles, that never separate unless you tug them apart), so sometimes they fell apart midway through pushing them through the pole-channel along the top of the tent. But I just learned to continue pushing from one end, and don’t try pulling the poles through as that definitely makes them fall apart. By pushing, the poles stay together however they do frequently snag on the fabric, so it does require walking from one side of the tent to the other several times to push them remove snags, then push further, etc. But still just 5 minutes setup by one person even with the cheaper poles. I did already notice a rip along the pole channel fabric my very first time using it, but it’s only a couple inches long rip so as long as it doesn’t get bigger it’s okay. TBD how well the rest of the seams hold up over time....

Clownpants: The tent was great, but even with the screens all open it was extremely hot when inside.
Otherwise awesome.
