fernden: I bought this product several months ago. I poured the product into a clean spice container as it comes in a simple plastic bag (which is fine and what I expected when ordering). What I did not expect was to find bugs “hatched” in the herbs and developed quite mess. I purchase groceries on Amazon quite a bit and I have never experienced anything like this before. Perhaps it is an isolated case, but I was shook enough to write this cautionary tale.

VintageVet: The flavor as-delivered seems fresh enough though the grind is a bit fine in my opinion. This ground Sumac is very much worth its cost to me since I am thoroughly addicted.

Santa Monica buyer: Tasted very bland; nothing like sumac I've eaten from other brands. I'm pretty sure it's not real sumac or at least wasn't the same type of sumac that I've had before. Granted, this was the cheapest sumac I could find on Amazon so I guess you get what you pay for.

Juan Paredes QueimadelosJuan Paredes Queimadelos: The taste is really good and authentic, miles away from anything available in a regular grocery store.

Really good value for money, just awesome and pure cumin flavour.

Only reason this is "only" 4 stars is because, although stated as organic in the product description (at least when I bought it), it does not have the soil association organic stamp.

Otherwise simply fantastic.
