Georg Kra: Man merkt dass die Autorin sich intensiv mit Ernährung beschäftigt hat (und geht z.B. nicht dem Mythos auf den Leim, dass gesättigte Fettsäuren ungesund sind) und erklärt gut worauf es bei der Ernährung ankommt. Sie ist neutral, undogmatisch und empathisch.
Die Rezepte sind größten Teils gesund, abwechslungsreich, einfach und schnell gemacht... und schmecken! Wenn man in dem Thema noch nicht so drin steckt, muss man nur doch einige (nicht gerade billige) Zutaten neu besorgen (was aber logisch ist da es sich hierbei ja um eine neue Form der Ernährung handelt).
Das Buch ist schön gestaltet, übersichtlich und es macht Spaß darin zu lesen - wenn man des Englischen mächtig ist - Mein Englisch ist nicht schlecht, dennoch musste ich einige Wörter nachschlagen (wie oft braucht man sonst schon Vokabeln wie gemahlene Leinsamen, Hanfsamen und Flohsamenschalen...). Aber so lernt man ganz nebenbei auch noch ein bisschen Englisch.
Also alles in Allem: Eine klare Kaufempfehlung wenn man sich mit dem Englischen nicht allzu schwer tut.

Heaven: Really great recipes! i’ve made quite a few things from this book so far, and once you get the list of ingredients in your cupboard, it’s easy to make the dishes. I never thought I’d be able to eat this way, but thanks for this book, I’m not bored and I’m feeling really healthy. Lost weight and bloating and have more energy. I’ll probably eat vegan keto 80% of the time and we have 20% to incorporate some meat, going out with family, etc. so I don’t feel limited. Anyone curious about vegan keto should pick this book up and give it a try. Don’t be intimidated by the ingredients. You can find most of them at Whole Foods, or online. I don’t find the diet to be expensive compared to eating meat and cheese like I used to. I’m actually saving a lot of money. Awesome book I would love to see a second one!

EllzEllz: More than just a recipe book! I am especially impressed by the level of detail provided on micronutrients. I bought this book because I've had issues with my thyroid and read that foods in this diet can help with some of my symptoms. This book makes it so easy to know what ingredients to stock up on and how to get more essential vitamins into my body. The book is bright, colourful, easy to read, and the recipes don't include tonnes of inaccessible ingredients (which is so annoying about some vegan recipes)- most of the nuts, seeds and veggies can be bought in Tesco, Lidl, etc. which is fab! The only thing that appears a bit which isn't as easy to find is psyllium husk... though I haven't checked everywhere yet. There is a pretty good variety of meals, snacks, drinks and sauces to try ...and many of the recipes can be adapted to account for allergies and personal preference :) highly recommend

S: I really enjoy this book! Great way to kick off my Keto Diet and I love how I can customize and tweak the recipes to my liking and allergies. Ever since I’ve bought this book I have a starting point into a raw vegan diet and I’m so use to the recipes that i know how many net carbs I’m eating per day. No joke I’ve literally have lost a significant amount of weight in my problem areas in such a short amount of time it’s crazy! I love how Keto really is a diet it’s a lifestyle and I’m to the point where I’m just eating healthy overall picking certain recipes i like and making my meals for the week and i can pick which ones are quick depending on my schedule. I’ve been vegan for two years and it’s true i could not for the life of me find a sufficient KETO vegan diet or recipes anywhere and i searches google, YouTube, blogs etc.. and I only found a handful of recipes was very discouraging. Until I found this book! My one and only one thing that i wish was different about this book is the fact that she has sooo many recipes on her website that i wish she would had just included all of those as well In the book. sarahmichelle: This has been a great addition in my house. I have a lot of health issues which mean I also have a lot of restrictions in my diet for managing them. Trying to figure out what I can eat and finding something tasty is not generally straightforward and easy because of this. Not totally by choice but mainly out of necessity I have to eat low FODMAP, vegan (except for eggs and some types of fish), and a candida (yeast free) diet. A vegan keto diet has met almost all those needs (with some slight tweaking) but as most people who are familiar with the keto diet will know, there isn’t much out there on how to do a keto diet as a vegan because a lot of keto focuses on meat and cheese for the bulk in the diet.
I have checked out what vegan keto books I could from the library but decided to buy this on a whim without ever looking at it after seeing her blog. I have to say that her book has helped me so much with finding really tasty but easy to make meals. I made the bagels in this (which my kids were sad to discover were not donuts after I made them!) and they were delicious and so satisfying! I never would have thought to make dough from tahini, psyllium husk and flax seed flour...

Melissa M.: I liked that there are 4 weeks of menus, however I have only finished week 1 so my comments are based on my gripes so far and don’t reflect how well the plan works long term. Weeks 1&2 are 1500-1600 calories per day while weeks 3-4 are primarily 1600-1700+ per day. Many of the items are made then eaten over a couple of days (one day’s dinner leftovers becomes the next day’s lunch) which is good as long as you like the item. If you don’t ( I found the kelp noodle pad Thai dreadful) then you are left trying to figure out what to eat for those meals. The menus also call for some items I’ve been unable to locate in my area (e.g. lupini beans, black soy beans) so I will also have to skip those days. I live in a small city, so people with access to larger supermarkets may have more success with finding these items. I discovered a couple of errors when prepping for week 2. Specifically, the shopping list says to purchase 1 avocado while the menu plan shows 2. A minor issue perhaps, but who wants to go back to the supermarket for 1 item? Another minor error is that the black bean burger recipe says makes 4 burgers but the instructions say to divide into 8 patties. I also...
