Utalent 3-in-1 8-Speed Immersion Hand Blender for Smoothies, Sauces, and Soups

BillH: Lots of power, variable speed. Blender head easy to clean under warm running water immediately after use. Not dishwasher safe.
Blender head a little difficult to remove from motor housing. This should get easier with use.
Smaller diameter blade housing allows use in narrower container. I use it in a 10 oz. (just less than 300 ml) glass. Other brands have larger diameter.
Always remove blender head and clean immediately. Immediate cleaning works best. Do not clean with motor attached.
Noisy. I would not use it for chipping ice cubes.
Recommended.

Donald L. Hopkins: Product looks and assembles great. The spinning of the frothing tool is rickety. Blending power is at fault here. Could be better.

Bonny: I bought this after my Cuisinart immersion blender broke. I am very impressed! I make a smoothie using frozen berries with this every day and after 6 months it still blends them with ease. While visiting my mother-in-law she bought a Cuisinart immersion blender and it had a lot of trouble blending the frozen berries. I was impressed that this brand is never heard of worked so much better. I have used the frother a couple of times and was very impressed the first time I used it, but have had a hard time getting light and frothy froth since then. I’ve never used the whisk attachment -I bought this for the blending attachment and have not been disappointed! Very good for the money!

Papadoc: This had some new features that I've not had on a stick blender before:

1) Dual power switch gives you turbo on the top speed, and a lower speed that works with the variable dial on top. The variable dial has 8 numbers on it, but those are just for reference. The dial itself is an infinite control rather than just 8 stepped speed settings. When combined with the lower speed on the dual power switch, this should mean the ability to dial in exactly what you need. Nicely, speed seems irrelevant to the torque, meaning that while you can lower the speed at which it turns, you don't lose power.

2) The milk frother is LONG, meaning you can go down deep. It is also incredibly powerful so when you're doing large batches, you don't loose speed. You could literally blend something into a gallon of water or pot of coffee, which is something you can't say about the mini-frothers that most of us use. The downside to it is that the power and speed will tear up a small container of liquid like a cup of coffee and you'll end up with it everywhere. I know I'll find uses for this, but will likely end up using my battery powered mini-frother for daily single cup use.
