The stuff the vets prescribed gave my dog serious allergies and she scratched for months. Joe Lay: Came in good packaging. Doesnt have an expiry date tho? It smells fresh so going to get through it as quick as possible just in case. I like it for the ingredients but my dog hates it. Note, she is also the type to turn away from no-meat treats. So I think its just personal preference. I blend this with another toothpaste with poultry flavor to balance/lower her chemical ingredient intake. And I can smell the mint/cinnamon linger around her mouth for a while so its good. But for me, I probably wont get it again, too much work to blend.

RR: My furry baby and I like this product!
My dog has always enjoyed his teeth brushings, and he seems to not only enjoy the taste of this dental gel, but I also appreciate that his fresh breath seems to last longer compared to other products. When I tried a tiny amount myself, I tasted the base sweet potato, but the strength of the cinnamon definitely takes over, and at the very end I could taste the fresh mint.
This product is made with good, certified organic ingredients and based on its performance, I think it’s a decent value.
My dog is used to a paste consistency, so I was hesitant to purchase this dental gel because my dog did not like two other products that were also “gels”. One was Arm & Hammer Vanilla-Ginger flavor. I took a chance on it since he enjoys vanilla-mint, but ginger can be tricky. He disliked it immediately.
Perhaps it was the ginger that he did not like and/or it was too spicy.
The other was the Vet’s Best Enzymatic Dental Gel. Again, it was immediate dislike. When I dabbed a bit onto my tongue it was numbing, and it had no discernible flavor despite “natural flavors” being listed lastly in the...
