samuelsamuel: Disappointed I spent $27 on this. It’s bigger when packed than described/expected. It’s smaller when spread out than expected. It gets really hot in the sun. The pegs sent with it aren't big enough to hold it down. We ended up using stand all around it to keep it from flying away in the wind. Kinda hard and very annoying to get back into the pouch. This was all at the ocean, I’ll update this review if things go better at the lake.

Skip HelpsSkip Helps: The texture of it makes sweeping sand off a breeze. It's not soft or comfy but it's good for just designating your spot at the beach. I like the size, I can lay down on it fully and have my stuff around me and still have room for my husband to be on it too with his stuff. Water rolls off of it too. The stakes and loops make sure it stays in place. and the secret pocket is a nice bonus. Shoving it back in the bag when you're done takes like 15 seconds. No regrets with this one

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: This beach mat is super light weight and compact. I love the blue and white design and the size is more than ample for our family of 4. As some others note it does tend to be obvious when sand is dropped on the mat, while the sand doesn't stick to the mat (very much) the air tight nature of the fabric means that you can't just lift parts of the mat to help slide sand off as it kind of creates a vacuum effect against the ground, but you can always use a towel or something to help sweep the sand away. In theory the sand pockets of the corners are a fantastic idea, but I find them quite awkward to put the sand in (maybe I just need to learn a better technique though). If youre looking for a thick ans luxurious beach mat to lie on comfortably this isn't the mat for you, but if you want something extremely light weight, compact and practical then this is a great option.

Richard Garand: This is not really a "blanket", more of a large plastic bag. You're just sitting on a big sheet of plastic. After using it at the beach one time it has sand permanently attached to it.

mom_of_2: I love how compact, light and size of this blanket! It's soooo light that I even leave it inside my drawstring backpack while biking with kids to the park. So we can use it anytime/anywhere, no need to plan ahead. PROs - I am surprise how BIG this blanket is! I also especially enjoy its HUGE compression sack. It's effortless to put blanket in no time. 6 stacks quality r decent and come with a very solid and thick bag, so you won't accidently hurt yourself or the bag would tear easily. CONs - It's such a mess to use this on the beach. Sands is everywhere! Literally, it's uncontrollable! My 1st kid joins me - sands everywhere no matter how careful she is. So I unanchore 2 stacks, dust the sands out. Next, my 2nd kid joins me - sands everywhere! I repeat the same process over and over as everytime they come join me on this blanket. This is really no suitable for beach use! HOWEVER, I do see it's PERFECT for PARKS due to its size and ease to put back to compression sack. I wash it before I use, and it seems holding well as color seems the same and no thread comes off. After using it on the beach, I do feel "wetness" before I put it back to sack. Kristin: I LOVE this thing! Best outdoors 'blanket' I have ever used. It is actually waterproof, not water resistant, legit waterproof. I have used it on soaking wet ground in my yard (you know those spring days where it's warm and sunny but the ground is still super wet). We stayed dry on top. Took it to the lake the other day and had four children and two adults comfortably on it. Stuff was spilled all over it, food was eaten, the baby peed, it was stomped on by running preschoolers and a wild toddler with dirty feet. At the end of our time at the lake? I poured water over it, everything rinsed right off, shook it out, let it dry for a few minutes and packed it up, couldn't even tell the abuse it had just withstood, it cleaned right up. The stakes are perfect. They held it down on a super breezy day. Also, for younger children/babies it's fantastic. They can roll around, walk all over it, even pull on it but because it's staked down, it stays put. I'm not constantly smoothing out
