My hound takes about 45 seconds now instead of 20. They would both choke on food nearly every feeding. These bowls have definitely reduced the occurrence of choking. I would still like them to eat slower, but at least my hound now chews his food. My pittie, not so much. Dogs with short muzzles and short tongues will have a hard time using these. It's still a great idea & they're built solidly. I didn't realize that they come in a pack of 2, so I ended up receiving 4. Oh well. My pitbull chewed on them while I was gone, so I had replacements.

Kim A.: It works great but they didn’t come with the rubber on the bottom so it doesn’t stay in one place when my dog is eating. I usually place it on a heavy plate so it doesn’t move around. Other than that it definitely helps slow down his eating.

z.z.: So, my *ahem* “hefty” cats were eating too fast and then throwing up piles of food on my bed. (YAY!) So these bowls were my first attempt to end this disgusting behavior, and they were VERY effective. My bed is safe. Heads up though, they’re a *little* bigger than necessary for cats if that’s your intended purpose, but definitely too small for a dog of any substance. Also I ordered two and they came two to a pack so now I have four, probably because I didn’t pay a heck of a lot of attention to the description and in my mind they were showing what it looked like full and empty in the picture instead of showing two items... probably not a mistake most would make but I thought I’d mention it anyway.

Brittany: So I have this cat...his name is Guacamole and he eats literally everything in sight. He had a fancy feeder that fed him little bits of food 5 times a day. Even though this fatty ate 5 times a day, he would STILL run to his feeder and scarf down all the food he could. This in return caused him to constantly throw up whole food all over my white carpets....every...day. You can see how exhausting this would be. So I looked into a feeder that would slow him down a bit so he could chew and digest each piece of food. Let me tell you, this has cut down his scarfing SIGNIFICANTLY. I have yet to clean up puked up food since i received this in the mail. He's not happy with it, but he's not the one that has to clean up the messes, ya know?
Great buy, great price. Very pleased

Kristi: These bowls helped my puppies slow down when eating. They were eating really fast then getting sick but since switching to these we have had no issues. Also, my pups are a pug mix with flatter faces and can still use these with no issues.
