Crisp highs and great lows. Paired with my Apline head unit, it was awesome. I used FLAC and WAV songs on USB and it was like having a home stereo in my car.

YouTube Mechanic: I've been an Alpine fan since I was a teenager in the early 90's. Over the years I've owned head units, amps and speakers that were Alpine brand and I have to say I've never been disappointed--ever--with Alpine. These components are no different. Clear, crisp highs from the tweets and decent mids from the 6 1/2" woofers. Paired with some Alpine R 300w 6x9's and a 10" DVC sub pushing about 1200 watts total, this combo does everything I paid for and then some. I don't think my Alpine R-A60F amp is even capable of blowing these up at 100w per channel and it feels like I could probably give her more power and still be fine. Good buy. Alpine fan for life.

Amazon Customer: I’ve always bought alpine products for my trucks, but to be honest I prefer the old type r’s to these r series speakers. It may just be the Stock speaker location in my new truck but the tweeters sound more harsh than the older models silk dome tweeters.(and this is the first set of the r-series) Don’t get me wrong it’s still a great product and sounds awesome. I just prefer the old ones. I currently have an alpine Ilx-207 paired with the new bigger power pack amp.

Bajacore: Bought these as an upgrade and to replace my decade old Rockfords. Unfortunately, the ones I received were the previous generation. It’s not a deal breaker, but I was hoping I would get the updated version as some others did.
After unboxing and making sure everything was in order, I can say these speakers (although not the latest gen) feel very high quality. I’m excited to get them installed and see how they do before I install an amp.
Again, for those looking for, or expecting the newest version (based on other reviews), take caution as you may not get them. Still, for the price it’s a worthwhile purchase. At least for now.

Jay R: Installed the 6.5” and tweeters into my 2004 Honda S2000, with an Alpine 400w in-line amplifier and a relatively cheap alpine headunit, along with a 10” alpine type R in the trunk. The addition of these component speakers have made highway cruises with the top down much more enjoyable, and when parked or waiting for a passenger to come outside, it makes for an excellent movie theater lol. 10/10 all the way and installation was incredibly easy if you’re remotely mechanically inclined.
