Nate tapper: Beautiful Quality Book purchased as a Secret Santa gift for a friend who is just getting into wine.
Great visual impacts and simplistic layout make this informative book approachable while still being packed with information.
Book is quite small, I would have preferred it was a bit larger, I should have reviewed the dimensions more in depth.
Overall great purchase.

Robin F.: I bought this for my daughter who recently started becoming interested in wine. She was so thrilled to get it, she read through the whole book in one sitting. I think this is a great place to start for anyone who wants to know the basics. Definitely would recommend it to any wine novices out there!

JR: The authors have lots of knowledge and imparted the data in an entertaining way which was snarky and painless.
The presentation was logically and orderly laid out making the text easy to follow and easy to use as a reference as needed.
The illustrations added to the fun of reading and learning.

Shul: Warning - this is absolutely for total beginners at wine. If you consider yourself even a little bit experienced, avoid this book. I finished the book in under an hour and felt more content is required to make the book worth your money. Nice illustrations though.

Defining Delicious: I'm a wine noob, yet I love the way this book makes me feel like I'm part of the conversation vs. not smart or cool enough. Grant and Chris have outlined in a fun and playful way how to drink, pair and actually have fun with vino. A feat that is both rare and treasured, not to mention anyone will enjoy the books thoughtful color and humor. Grab a few and give with a recommenced bottle or two.

Soozie: Great addition to a wine book collection for both newcomers to wine and veteran drinkers. Written in a way that is clear, to the point, and informative—with fantastic illustrations :) I’ve gifted this to several of my friends who are interested in learning more about what they are drinking and they love it!

James Stewart: The authors do a great job of breaking down the basics and making the topic of wine more approachable. I appreciate their casual and relatable tone, it’s what I imagine has made The Infatuation (their food review site) so popular and successful. I don’t think, however, this would be a good book to gift to someone like my father who is in his 60s, as its themes and tone really cater towards younger people (millennials). Lastly, it’s important to know that this isn’t the most comprehensive wine book. The authors are very upfront about this and I’d say I actually appreciate the more narrow scope because it allows the reader to concentrate only on the most popular varietals and regions. Readers looking for a more comprehensive book might want to look at Windows on The World by Kevin Zraly or The Sommelier’s Atlas of Taste by Mackay/Parr. One point of criticism: I would have appreciated a different categorization in the varietals section. It makes more sense for me conceptually to organize the wines first by white/red then by body (light/bold). Overall I recommend and will return to it as a reference (particularly the pairings section).

Deb K: Great resource BUT they completely left Canada out of the book... we have a huge wine region in Niagara and in other provinces... not a single mention
